Thanks to its landscape, its historical, cultural and archaeological patrimony, the Bracciano area is an important touristic point of interest, not only for foreign visitors but also for those Italian people who never had the chance to visit this part of Italy. The Lake of Bracciano 1 has volcanic origins and three are the towns bordering this area: Bracciano, Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano. In the last few years the lake and its surroundings have been brought under further protection by the creation of a regional park, the Regional Natural Park of Bracciano Martignano, whose area covers more than 16.000 hectares. In Bracciano area you will have the chance to visit the public Odescalchi Castle 2 , similar but bigger, the Odescalchi Castle close to La Posta Vecchia Hotel, or if you may prefer, you can visit important estates producing the most important typical and natural products of Lazio. 45 minutes far from La Posta Vecchia by car
