Artfully Striking


In what really is a showcase of uncompromising luxury and innovative design, this three level residence utilises soaring walls of glass, truly majestic proportions and water as an intrinsic design element to complement and enhance the connection to its riverside locale. Furthermore, a high-concept design delivers the ultimate in entertaining and absolutely the last word in prestigious riverfront living. Even from the entry all these individual factors are apparent with a massive glass door – a veritable artwork in its own right, allowing for almost unobstructed views straight through the house to the flowing river beyond. This entry level is very much the central focalpoint of the home with a living room complete with gas fireplace and 6m atrium-style ceilings, and a pool which is enveloped by the home making it an integral element of the design. Then of course, for more intimate affairs there is the unforgettable dining room. Visually separated from the rest of the home via a tranquil internal pool, it is accessed by a single broad stepping-stone, creating a truly memorable dining experience. The upper floor is for more solitary pursuits with a private library and bedrooms, including the incredible master suite which offers a fully-fitted walk-in robe and a truly sumptuous ensuite where one can enjoy a relaxing soak while experiencing the sheer beauty of the river as it flows by below. However it really is the incredible level of fittings and detail that sets this build apart, from the natural river stone feature wall that rises some 6m above the living room, to the New Guinea Rosewood stair treads that have been polished to the same level used on a grand piano.

Urban Edge An elevated corner block with cityy views p provided the p perfect basis for this light-fi g lled, contemporary p y home that incorporates a pool, media room, four bedrooms, study and futuristic design.

Thanks to its clever floor plan, p the home is able to incorporate p soaringg walls of glass while still maintainingg maximum privacy, p largely g due to a central reflection pond that has been enveloped by the building on three sides.

A muted colour scheme and minimalist approach pp meanwhile, allows architectural details and finishes in timber, steel and g glass to demand full attention, in turn creating vignettes and points of interest at every turn throughout the spacious, tri-level home.

The kitchen was very much a collaboration between the owners, architect and cabinet maker, with the triumphant design incorporating the sleek stone, steel, glass and monochromatic elements mirrored in the rest of the home. It also showcases the very best in functional design with a butlers’ pantry, in-wall coffee machine and plentiful storage to maintain those streamlined good looks.



A muted colour scheme and minimalist approach allows architectural details and finishes in timber, steel and glass to demand full attention, in turn creating vignettes and points of interest at every turn throughout the spacious, tri-level home.


BEACHSIDE HAVEN A beachside block in Northern New South Wales gets a contemporary new abode befitting of both its superlative position and design savvy owner.

A block of beachside land along the Northern New South Wales Coast was to finally become an artistic haven for its Brisbanebased owner.

This was carried from the facade of the house to the interior, where a fabulous spiral staircase formed a visual centre point to the home.

The kitchen sits prominently in this area with its quality appliances and functional scullery creating a supremely hard-working zone. Cabinetry in exotic timber veneers and white stone benches meanwhile, mirror the rest of the home’s timeless style.
