GREEN SALE ... Custom greens arrangements designed by Gamble Garden experts, will be sold on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at Gamble Garden, 1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto. Arrangements — made from cedar, cypress, fir, holly, pine, juniper, spruce, magnolia, dried flowers, berries, cones and pods — are made on site in a container provided or purchased that day. Arrangements, which can be pre-ordered and picked up on Dec. 10, are $25 for small, $35 for medium or $45 for large. In addition, holiday greens, plants and wreaths will be available. Arborist Kevin Raftery will lead a tree walk through the Greenmeadow neighborhood on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. On the walk, he’ll talk about tree selection, care of trees and identification. The workshop will show how to use FabMo wallpaper and fabric, as well as old books, junk mail and magazines — even coffee filters — to make eco-friendly gift wrap. Cost is $30.
