Welcome to Padstow Touring Park

Thank you for your interest in staying with us. Padstow Touring Park is family owned and we are committed to running a friendly, couples and family orientated campsite. We are a premier touring site offering a range of pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents. The easy access from a main road and the tarmac roads around the site make us suitable for large motorhomes and twin axle units.


Padstow Touring Park is the ideal setting for your peaceful and relaxing holiday in Cornwall. The site is thirteen acres of parkland enjoying panoramic views towards the beautiful Camel Estuary. Situated only one mile from the quaint and historic fishing town of Padstow with direct access from the park along a public footpath. A mere two miles from some of Cornwall’s finest beaches.

Being caravanners ourselves we do our utmost to create the perfect environment and have decided to have no bar or clubhouse. There are many excellent local pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Hardstandings are available on request. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you to our park.

We have been awarded the maximum rating of five gold pennants by the AA. All of our pitches back onto a hedge or fence to provide privacy and shelter. The majority of pitches have a 10 amp electric hookup and a shared water and grey waste point.

Padstow The iconic picture postcard harbour in Padstow is a major attraction of the quaint Cornish town. Fishing and pleasure craft sit alongside each other in the ever changing moorings, whilst the quayside cafÊs and pubs look out onto the calm water and bustling atmosphere. Whether it’s during the day or in the evening there is always something to do in Padstow. The regular departure of boat trips gives you the choice of wreck, reef or bottom fishing trips, family-friendly mackerel fishing in the bay, high powered speedboat trips, sealife safaris, or take it easy on a leisurely cruise aboard the Jubilee Queen to see the stunning coastline. Make sure you take some time to sit alongside the harbour to soak up the unique atmosphere of this historic fishing town that has grown in popularity, whilst retaining charm and respect for its heritage.

Christmas Festivities

Padstow's world famous May Day celebrations are steeped in tradition and draw large crowds to join in the annual festivities. The streets bustle with swirling theatrical dancing accompanied by musicians and the singing of the May song.

Experience Padstow's magical Christmas festival where the lights and decorations enhance the quayside whilst the traditional market celebrates Cornish produce. During the four day event there are carols, live music, cookery demonstrations, late night shopping and a fireworks display.

The Camel Trail Offering easy access to the beautiful Cornish countryside the multi-use trail is perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding. The 18 mile disused railway is mainly traffic free with striking contrasts in scenery, as it follows the path of the River Camel from Padstow to Wadebridge and then on to Bodmin.

The ever-changing Camel Estuary is a birdwatching paradise. The salt marsh, sandbanks and rocky shores offer the perfect habitat for many birds including large flocks of waders, peregrines, migrant osprey, kingfishers and more.

Padstow to Wadebridge 5.5 miles Follow the meandering estuary to Wadebridge, a bustling rural town with a wide range of shops and amenities where you can take a break and relax at one of the many cafĂŠs, pubs or restaurants.

Wadebridge to Bodmin 6 miles The trail then continues through the magnificent woodlands of the Camel Valley, a striking landscape to explore. This rich habitat is home to a wide variety of wildlife including kingfishers, badgers and otters. The route passes historic railway stations with tearooms and a pub.

Bodmin to Wenford 6 miles From Bodmin the trail forks off through beautiful woodland and farmland following the river up to Wenford Bridge on Bodmin Moor.


Walkers Paradise

Stunning Coast

Padstow's location is perfect for walking so there is no need for a car to be able to explore the area. Padstow Touring Park is just one mile from Padstow which can be walked along a public footpath. So whether you are visiting the town during the day or soaking up the evening atmosphere you won’t need to think about parking.

The South West Coast Path is 630 miles in total, but the three parts of the path in our area are Port Isaac to Padstow, Padstow to Porthcothan and Porthcothan to Newquay. Each of these sections is 10-12 miles and include some truly beautiful and unspoiled parts of the unique Cornish coast, where the breathtaking views are well worth the effort, but shorter sections can be walked too. The coastal bus route from Padstow to Newquay makes one way walks really convenient.

The Saint's Way From Padstow the path goes 30 miles inland, through varied landscapes, all the way to Fowey on Cornwall’s South Coast.


Explore Cornwall

Rock 1 mile by ferry

The location of Padstow Touring Park is ideal for exploring the whole of Cornwall. There are many beautiful towns and villages an easy drive away.

Rock is only 15 miles away by road, or after walking the mile into Padstow you can take the passenger ferry across the estuary. From here you can also walk up the beach to Polzeath.

Wadebridge 7 miles Wadebridge is a traditional market town on the River Camel. Enjoy time browsing the independent shops, eat in one of the many great cafĂŠs, pubs or delicatessens. A great destination to cycle to from Padstow.

North Coast 15-25 miles Tintagel and Boscastle are two stunningly unique towns packed with Cornish beauty and history. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin, is a beautiful destination for a day trip.


Newquay 15 miles

St Ives 45 miles

Newquay has been a popular holiday destination for many years, due to its stunning location, fantastic visitor attractions and surfing appeal.

St Ives is an attractive seaside town with rich history, it has an established artist community and is home to Tate St Ives.

Truro 25 miles The city of Truro makes a great day out, especially for those who love to shop, with cobbled streets, magnificent Cathedral and a mix of high street and independent shops. Truro has a motorhome friendly park and ride.

Falmouth 35 miles A large harbour town with its history celebrated in the maritime museum. It boasts many shops and great places to eat.

Fowey 25 miles A charming town on the edge of the Fowey Estuary.

If you have any questions please phone or email and we will be happy to help. Padstow Touring Park is easy to find, on the right-hand side of the main road to Padstow (B3274/A389) a mile from town. We suggest turning off the A30 at Indian Queens, taking the A39 towards Wadebridge, then follow the B3274 towards Padstow.

Alternatively if travelling via Wadebridge, ignore signs on the A389 through St Issey and instead continue to the roundabout to take the wider B3274.
