Just because it’s cold and snowy outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the outdoors! Fontenelle Forest has plenty going on during the winter months; in fact, it’s a great time to see a lot of the animals that you wouldn’t regularly see during the nicer times of the year. Head out to the forest and watch for cardinals, foxes, or even the elusive minks. Also, throughout the month of January, take part in Mud Pies: Red Fox in Winter, which occurs weekly Monday through Wednesday from 9:30-11:30am. Mud Pies is a family program encouraging adult/child interaction (One adult is required for every two children).
