CHANCE MEETING Julie and Kyle met at a bar in 2008. They were nervous on their first date because “well, we met at a bar,” Julie says. “However, we completely hit it off and had a great conversation for more than two hours. And that was the beginning of our love story.” SO MUCH BETTER THAN A PHONE CALL Kyle planned a surprise date at a vineyard, where he proposed. But the surprises didn’t stop there. He arranged for his parents and Julie’s parents – who made the seven-hour trip from their home – to help celebrate the moment. LIFE IN PICTURES The tables at the reception were numbered with years beginning with “1987” and ending with “2013” to document Julie’s and Kyle’s lives. Each table displayed pictures of them from a particular year. “It was an amazing way for family and friends to see pictures of us growing up.” THE GUESTS GOT IN ON THE FUN, TOO The photo booth picture strips that guests took of themselves throughout the night became the wedding favors. THE GROOM’S TURN You often hear of brides wearing their grandmother's jewelry, but this time the groom got in on the action. His wedding band was his late-grandfather’s. The heirloom has been worn by three generations of Roeslers.
