FRIENDS OF THE OLDHAM COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARIES Monday July 18, 2011 A special General Meeting was called for Monday July 18, 2011 at 5:20 p.m. Notice was provided by email to all members. Four members of the Friends were present. President Tony Acree call the meeting to order and explained that an amendment needs to be made to our Bylaws in order to work towards obtaining a 501(c)(3) status. The amendment reads: “Amendment 1. A three member Board of Directors of the Friends of the Oldham County Public Libraries will serve in an advisory capacity. Each of the three member will represent an area served by an Oldham County Public Library branch, i.e. Main, Mahan and South Oldham. This Board of Directors will serve for a term of two years and may be re-elected. The three members will be elected by a majority vote at a General Meeting.� There being no discussion, Sally Lackner moved that the amendment be approved as read. The motion passed unanimously.
