Beauty Vs. The Beast Who says you have to go to New York to see a Broadway play? The award-winning Broadway musical BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is coming for three days only to the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Gainesville. This classic tale tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, a loving prince trapped in the body of, well, a beast. If the Beast can be loved and learn to love someone in return, the spell will be broken. This production has become an international hit and has played to more than 35 million people in 21 countries and will feature the animated hit’s Academy Award-winning score. Ticket prices range from $40-$60 and are available through ticketmaster.com or by calling (352) 392-2787.
