Two-and three-year scholarships available each year to qualified students who are enrolled or will enroll in the Army ROTC Program

ROTC-NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 3-YEAR AND 4-YEAR ADVANCE DESIGNEE

Includes payment of all tuition and fees as they relate to students’ major or room and board, plus monthly tax-free stipend of: $300 a month for freshmen $350 a month for sophomores $450 a month for juniors $500 a month for seniors (For up to 10 months per year for duration of the scholarship) *Includes $1,200 yearly stipend for books.

Private scholarships These scholarships are funded by the Northwest Foundation or private donors. They are not specific to any particular major, but may be limited by academic, geographic or grade-level criteria. Please visit nwmissouri.edu/finaid/scholarships for specific eligibility requirements and applications to download (indicated by W W ) or contact for separate application. *Major-specific and private scholarship award amounts funded through the Northwest Foundation may fluctuate and are contingent upon funding. All deadline dates are Feb. 1, 2014, unless otherwise noted. CLAUDENE BREWER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipient shall have a minimum GPA of 2.00 and be a graduate of North Andrew High School. First preference will be given to an entering freshman with a declared academic major in the area of education and secondly to an entering freshman from North Andrew High School without regard to academic major. If there are no qualifying students, an upperclassman from North Andrew High School may be selected. Contact counselor at North Andrew for application. ■■

CLEAR, CAYHOGA, MUDDY CREEKS SCHOLARSHIP W

Eligible recipients of the Clear, Cayhoga, Muddy Creeks Scholarship must be Missouri residents currently residing in the district previously known and designated as the Clear, Cayhoga, Muddy Creeks Watershed District. This former watershed district includes a large portion of the West Nodaway R-I school district and small portions of the Maryville R-II and North Nodaway R-VI School Districts. Eligible recipients shall be Northwest freshmen or sophomores. Freshmen must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative high school GPA, and sophomores must have a minimum 2.50 Northwest cumulative GPA. Eligible recipients shall have demonstrated good school and community citizenship, and all other factors being equal, financial need

PAT DANNER SCHOLARSHIP

Available to all majors enrolled in at least nine credit hours per trimester showing progress toward completion of degree requirements. Preference for this award will be given to “displaced homemakers” with a second preference given to a similarly worthy student who is overcoming barriers to obtain his or her college degree. Awarded to a graduate of Maryville High School who has a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.50. Recipient will be energetic and dedicate that attitude to the activities of Maryville High School, value the importance of education and demonstrate financial need. CULLEN GEIST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients shall be graduates of Mt. Ayr High School in Iowa with a first preference for entering freshmen, and then to continuing and transfer students. Contact high school counselor for application. ■■

Available to a graduate of Maryville High School, accepted as entering freshman. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 and show exemplary citizenship and dedication to the band program, participating in instrumental performance groups in high school and shall be involved in instrumental performance at Northwest. NETA DERRY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

NANCY GOFF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Recipients shall be graduates of Maryville High School having graduated in the upper third of their graduating class, shall be entering freshmen, and have declared a major in teacher education. Contact high school counselor for application. ■■
