STUDIO LIVING D

“Often people think small space equals small furniture and small things,” she says. “You may be better off with big, practical things and less of all the smaller, useless things. “But this is not for everyone. It suits the people who don’t need all the latest things and those who like being out and about. It is just more affordable and there is a definite change as people realise they don’t need all the stuff we once thought was so important.” www.joannafordinteriordesign.com.au www.janebrowninteriors.com

esigner Jane Brown has spent most of her adult life living in small spaces – and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She has lived in a studio in Sydney for over a decade, and prior to that, lived in a studio in New York. “I always feel like I am on holiday whenever I walk into my place – it’s just so easy to maintain and live in” she says. It’s the combination of the light from fulllength windows with an interior style that is strictly no-fuss that works for Jane.
