Settlement Reached in Tamera Mowry Recalls Shocking Comments ‘Blurred Lines’ Dispute About Her Interracial Marriage

By Mesfin Fekadu NEW YORK — Marvin Gaye’s children have settled claims against a music company owned by Sony over Robin Thicke’s Grammy-nominated hit song “Blurred Lines.” The Gayes had accused EMI of not pursuing a copyright infringement case against Thicke because “Blurred Lines” has similarities to Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up.” A Los Angeles judge granted Nona Marvisa Gaye and Frankie Christian Gaye’s dismissal of their lawsuit against EMI, which is owned by Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Documents say the Gayes and Sony have an agreement and claims against Sony can’t be brought again. A representative for the Gaye family said the terms of the settlement were confidential. Dueling lawsuits between the Gaye family and Thicke remain active. Thicke and his collaborators T.I. and Pharrell Williams asked a federal

Gabourey Sidibe Brushes Off Haters in the Best Possible Way

Hollywood, take note -for this is the way to deal with haters. The Internet seems to bring out the worst in people, and "American Horror Story" star Gabourey Sidibe found herself the undeserved target of cruel comments about her weight and appearance at the Golden Globe Awards. The 30-year-old actress has more than a bit of experience when it comes to the public callously discussing her weight and, as such, she's developed the perfect response that was recently posted on Twitter: To people making mean comments

Berry Gordy has been privately sticking up for Oprah Winfrey in Hollywood since she was snubbed by the Golden Globes. Spies at a reception at the home of WME agent Robert Newman, who reps directors Baz Luhrmann and Robert Rodriguez, said the Motown mogul was overheard referring to “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” as “my movie,” and telling

others to support it. Winfrey was overlooked by the Globes as best supporting actress for Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts, June Squibb and Sally Hawkins. Her boosters hope the Ben Affleck factor will work as it did for him a year ago: That a diss from one awards body can make her an underdog favorite in another.
