Where will you celebrate Christmas this year? In my hometown Umeå, in the northern part of Sweden. Together with my family, my husband and my sisters family. How will you celebrate the holiday season? I love the Christmas holiday. It’s the best time of the year, gathering all family members and friends, eating nice food, giving and receiving gifts, and decorating the house. I will probably start early (mid November) as I’m making a Christmas Craft edition of my iPadmagazine Trendenser. I will let the decorations stay put in our apartment since we are travelling away for half of December. How will you decorate your home this Christmas? I have a very bright and minimalistic home, but when it comes to Christmas I go ”all in” with red details. I have a lot of Christmas favorites that I reuse (like my Elflugan lamp and some traditional candle holders as well as Christmas decorations from my childhood). I’m not much of a fan of Christmas trends, I prefer sustainable investments in a few nice pieces that can live for a lifetime. I like the thought of my kids growing up with the same traditional decorations as I did. How does the perfect Christmas tree looks like? Its big with small lamps and filled with Christmas gifts underneath. Actually it’s only when it comes to wrapping paper that I tend to follow current trends so I go all in for the look and feel of my gifts. What is your holiday wish for others? I wish everyone a niece peaceful time together with family and friends. No stress. No pressure. Just pure leisure time. Which song(s) is guaranteed to be on the playlist during the Holidays? What is your favorite Christmas memory or tradition? Me and my sister always got up very early in the morning and immediately went looking for our first gift that Santa had hidden in the house during the night. It was always a lot of excitement! Are there any special foods you will enjoy over the holidays? It might sound strange but I just LOVE Swedish beetroot salad! It’s my favorite on the Christmas table. What are your favorite places to shop for gifts? I usually travel to Copenhagen in December to go shopping for Christmas gifts, it is such a nice and cozy city especially in that month. I love all the small shops like Stilleben and Systrarna Grön, but also warehouses like Illums Bolighus and HAY.
