Welcome and Intimations A very warm welcome to our Harvest Thanksgiving this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are glad you are here and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you and join us for tea and coffee served in the sanctuary immediately after the service. Thank you to all who brought produce to our Harvest Table this morning. These goods will be presented to the Salvation Army for distribution to the people in our town. Volunteers are required after the service to help pack the donations. Pastoral Care Group Meeting TODAY in the church immediately after the service. Joint worship of the Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches will be held at Holy Trinity Church TONIGHT at 6.30pm. This will be a Taize service. Everyone is welcome to attend. Worship on Sunday, 2nd October will be our Organisations' Rededication Service beginning at 11.00am. There is a crèche facility for children under three years of age. Kingz Kidz meet at 10.50am in the church and sit together. Silver Sunday on Sunday, 2nd October at 2.30pm in the church. This is a short afternoon of praise for our senior members followed by tea and cake. Transport available. If you would like to come, please contact Barbara Urquhart, Tel: 538289. More minibus drivers are required to drive the bus to church on Sunday mornings. You will only be required two or three times per year. If you can help with this, please speak to Iain Sherry. Highlights Klub Monday, 26th September 8.00pm upper hall. Come along and enjoy a Taste of France with French wine, buffet, music and games. New members will be most welcome. Music and Movement on Tuesday, 27th September at 2.00pm in upper hall. Old and new members will be made most welcome. Tots Praise on Tuesdays from 10.15am to 11.15am in hall. Rainbows and Brownies on Wednesdays. Rainbows meet from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in upper hall. Brownies meet from 6.30pm to 8.00pm in the lower hall. Girl Guides on Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 9.00pm in upper hall. NLK Vocals Practice on Wednesdays 7.00pm to 8.00pm in church. Guild of Friendship Thursday, 29th September at 2.00pm in lower hall.


Choir Practice will meet on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the church. 4th/5th Kilmarnock Boys Brigade is on Fridays, Anchor boys: 6.00pm at St Andrew's and St Marnock's halls, Junior section: 7.00pm at St Andrew's and St Marnock's halls, Company section: 7.00pm at New Laigh Kirk halls. The Boys' Brigade are looking for helpers for all sections, as we are severely understaffed. If anyone feels they can offer assistance, please contact David McDonald, Tel: 540337, speak to any member of staff, or come along to any of our meetings on Friday night. We would be grateful for your help. Guild Monday, 3rd October at 7.15pm in lower hall. Come along and hear about Guild Project "Care for the Family". A Heritage Walk around Sanquhar, commencing at Sanquhar Parish Church and led by its Session Clerk, Saturday, 8th October - starting 1.30pm. A meeting for all interested will take place on Sunday, 2nd October at 10.30am. Contact Shirley Auld or Ellen Stewart for information. Welcome Group. Tickets are now on sale for the 60s night on Saturday, 22nd October. This is a family night and children are more than welcome. The price of £6 per adult and £3 per child (15 and under) includes supper. We hope you will support this event which was very successful last year. EACHa hygiene packs. Anything you are able to bring is very much appreciated. We would particularly welcome shaving gel/foam, disposable razors, shampoo and conditioner. Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable foods should be placed in the blue bin in the vestibule. New volunteers are always welcome.
