Telehealth Tuesday Kickoff Webinar

Since behavioral health is considered one of the ten essential health care benefits, access to quality substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery services becomes an important issue. Unfortunately, access to treatment and recovery services is hindered due to SUD workforce shortages and transportation issues (lack of public

transportation or traveling long distances to the nearest provider, especially in areas designated as frontier/rural). This 1.5 hour webinar is the kickoff event for a Media Series developed by the National Frontier and Rural Addiction Technology Transfer Center (NFAR-ATTC). Each event in the Media Series is designed to highlight how telehealth technologies can be used to successfully navigate the

In this first webinar, NFAR-ATTC Principal Investigator and Director Nancy Roget will provide an overview of telehealth technologies trends and discuss how the Media Series will be used to share resources currently available to prepare the field to deliver SUD treatment and recovery services using telehealth technologies.
