Adult education is a key to solving Nebraska’s projected skills gap. By 2018, 66% of jobs in Nebraska will require post-secondary education, placing our state 7th in the nation in the need for educated workers. However, one in eleven (8.8%) adults in Nebraskan do not have a high school diploma or GED. At the same time, Nebraska is only able to serve 8.9% of people in our state lacking a high school diploma or GED and half of our programs have waiting lists.
