MEDIA INFORMATION MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICE

MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME

The media relations office is located in the press box on the west concourse of the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome. The phone number is (928) 523-6792 or 6330, and the fax number is 6793.

Arizona does not recognize Daylight Savings Time. As a result, Flagstaff time coincides with the Pacific time zone through Nov. 6. The rest of the season, Flagstaff is compatible with the Mountain time zone (Eastern time minus two hours).

INTERVIEWS All player interviews MUST be coordinated through the media relations office at least one day in advance. NO interviews or photo shoots will be conducted the day of a match prior to first serve. Out-of-town media should contact media relations to arrange phone interviews. Players will be available for interviews following practice and, if prior arrangements have been made, before practice. The NAU locker room and training room are closed to media. Head coach Craig Choate and his staff are generally available for interviews after practice. To set up personal and phone interviews at other times, contact the media relations office at 928-523-6330 to set up the session. To confirm practice times each day, contact media relations.

LUMBERJACKS ONLINE Releases, statistics, rosters, video and breaking news are available on the athletics web site, www.nauathletics.com. All information is available for immediate use, including photos. The Big Sky Conference web site is www.bigskyconf.com.

INTERNET VIDEO STREAMING All NAU home matches and all home and away Big Sky matches are available for free on the web through www.bigskytv.org. Visit the site for further information.

LUMBERJACKS BY E-MAIL

Daily workouts are generally closed to the public due to space constraints, but media members are allowed upon confirmation of practice times with the media relations office. Generally, practice starts at 2 p.m. in Rolle Activity Center, though the schedule could change without prior notice.

The media relations office is always compiling a media directory to send out weekly advance releases, event stories and statistics in lieu of a fax. Media members interested in this service should e-mail Andrew.Tomsky@nau.edu. Game notes will be available on the website prior to that week’s matches. Call Andrew Tomsky at 928-523-6330 for more information.

MEDIA PASS LIST

NAU TV SERVICES

In lieu of credentials, working media will be placed on a media list that will be at the ticket table near the northwest entrance to Rolle Activity Center. Media members assigned to work a match must provide their names to the media relations office at least 24 hours in advance.

NAU TV Services covers Lumberjack sports on Flagstaff cable channels 4 & 59 while distributing to regional outlet Fox Sports Arizona and national digital cable channel Fox College Sports. Visit www.nauathletics.com for a complete list of NAU volleyball matches to be televised and channel listings.

PRACTICE

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY For safety, photographers and videographers are not permitted inside the sponsorship tables surrounding the court unless prior permission has been obtained from the media relations office. Due to space constraints, only those on assignment are placed on the pass list. Please provide names at least 24 hours in advance.

MEDIA SERVICES Box scores for each set will be issued during the match, with a final box at the conclusion. Prior to first serve, a match program with team rosters will be issued to working media.

POSTMATCH The NAU locker room is closed on the road and in Rolle Activity Center. At home, postmatch interviews will be held courtside with requested players and coaches from both teams. A member of the media relations office will collect requests immediately following the conclusion of the match.
