Ha servido como guía y referencia a la hora de crear y reservar planes a Colombia. En esta ocasión, les ofrecemos nuestros circuitos tradicionales y también presentamos nuevos planes que combinan vuelos internos y trayectos terrestres para que los viajeros disfruten de los increíbles paisajes que ofrece este maravilloso país. Así mismo, en este número incluimos planes de Naturaleza y Aventura, ya que las montañas, ríos y mares que tiene Colombia son únicos en este planeta y merecen ser visitados por personas de todo el mundo. El gran clásico:

Bogotá y Cartagena En Bogotá es posible conocer el centro histórico y sus lugares emblemáticos, como la Plaza de Bolívar; al igual que visitar el Museo del Oro y el santuario de Monserrate, que domina la ciudad. Un viaje por tierra de algo más de una hora conduce a la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá, una maravilla ubicada 180 metros bajo la superficie. El programa continúa en Cartagena, donde sobresalen el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas y el centro histórico amurallado.

DÍA 1. BOGOTÁ Llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional El Dorado, en Bogotá. Recepción y traslado al hotel elegido.

DÍA 2. BOGOTÁ Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy conoceremos el centro histórico de Bogotá, caminaremos por la Plaza de Bolívar y las calles que parten de allí, en las que se ven edificios como el Capitolio Nacional, centro de la vida legislativa del país; la Casa de los Comuneros; la Casa de Nariño, sede de la Presidencia de la República; y la Iglesia Museo de Santa Clara. Luego visitaremos el Museo del Oro, donde se exhiben unas 34.000 piezas de orfebrería de diversas culturas prehispánicas, y después iremos a la Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar, donde vivió el Libertador Simón Bolívar. La ruta sigue de los 2.600 metros sobre el nivel del mar de la ciudad hasta los 3.152 a los que está el santuario de Monserrate. Hasta allí subiremos en teleférico o en funicular. Desde este punto se aprecia la mejor panorámica de Bogotá. Los museos están cerrados los lunes. DÍA 3. BOGOTÁ Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy haremos un recorrido por la sabana de Bogotá hasta llegar a la ciudad de Zipaquirá, cuyo nombre significa ‘ciudad de nuestro Padre’ en lengua chibcha. En épocas precolombinas, en esta región se explotaban manantiales salinos para producir ‘panes de sal’, moneda fuerte con la que comerciaban los muiscas. Con el tiempo, la tecnología cambió y se empezaron a abrir socavones para extraer mayores cantidades de sal. En esas antiguas galerías subterráneas se erige la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquira, 180 metros bajo la superficie. Allí se encuentra la capilla de los mineros en homenaje a la Virgen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Guasá (esta palabra quiere decir ‘mina’ en

Durante el circuito pasaremos por el área moderna de Bocagrande y el barrio de Manga, donde se ven casonas antiguas de inicios del siglo XX. La ruta continuará hasta el Cerro de La Popa, desde donde se aprecia una buena vista de la ciudad, cuyo centro histórico fue declarado Patrimonio Histórico de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1984. Al bajar de La Popa visitaremos el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, con el que los españoles buscaban defenderse de los ataques ingleses en el siglo XVII. Terminaremos el recorrido con una caminata por las estrechas calles de la ciudad amurallada, contemplando la arquitectura colonial. Alojamiento. DÍA 6. CARTAGENA Desayuno en el hotel. Bogotá and Cartagena This program is the perfect escape for those who don’t have much time and want to spend a few days in Colombia. In Bogotá you can visit the historic center and its most symbolic places, such as the Bolívar Plaza, the Gold Museum and the Monserrate Mountain, which overlooks the city. A road trip of about an hour to the North takes you to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá (180 meters below the surface). The itinerary continues in the Caribbean city of Cartagena, where must see places like the San Felipe de Barajas Castle and the historic walled city center stand out.

DAY 1. BOGOTA Arrival at the El Dorado International Airport in Bogota. Reception and transfer to the hotel of your choice. DAY 2. BOGOTA Breakfast at the Hotel. You will start your journey by visiting the historic heart of Bogota. We will walk around Plaza de Bolivar and surrounding areas, where you will be able to see the National Capitol, which is the seat of the Colombian Congress; la Casa de los Comuneros, the Presidential Palace (Casa de Nariño) and the Museum Santa Clara Church. Then you will be able to discover the metalworking processes of more than 34,000 pieces of metalwork displayed at the Gold Museum from various Hispanic cultures. From there, we will visit the House belonged to Simon Bolivar (Quinta de Bolivar) and lastly, the iconic symbol of Bogota, the Monserrate Hill, that rises at 3,152 meters above the sea level. In your first day in Cartagena de Indias you will be taken for a tour around the modern neighborhoods of Bocagrande and Manga, where you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century. Further ahead, up at the Cerro de la Popa, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the heart of Cartagena as well as the whole city. The historic center of Cartagena was declared Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO in 1984. From here, we will go visit the Castle where the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, “el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas”. We will finish the tour with a stroll through the narrow streets of the wall city for you to contemplate the charm of its colonial architecture. Accommodation.

Zipaquira means ‘city of our Father’ in the language of the Chibchas. Allí, en una terraza con vista privilegiada, apreciaremos el paisaje que ofrecen los cafetales en las montañas del sur del departamento del Quindío. En la hacienda, además de aprender sobre el proceso de producción del grano, podremos hacer una cata de café y disfrutaremos de un producto de alta calidad que ha ganado reconocimientos internacionales en países como Rusia, Corea del Sur y Bélgica. Hoy viajaremos al municipio de Salento para visitar el Valle del Cocora, donde crece el árbol nacional, la palma de cera, que llega a medir cerca de 60 metros de altura. Un guía local especializado nos llevará al bosque de niebla. Después tomaremos un sendero ecológico a lo largo del cual veremos palmas de cera; luego visitaremos criaderos de trucha y tendremos tiempo libre antes de ir a Salento, un pueblo de balcones coloridos en el que entraremos a talleres artesanales y a cuyo mirador subiremos. This program has been designed to give you the opportunity to experience the true essence of Colombia. We will stroll through Bogotá’s center and then we will go to Zipaquirá’s Salt Cathedral. Then, the Cultural Coffe Landscape, which is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List, awaits us. We will visit Hacienda San Alberto to learn about coffe production. We will hike in the Cocora Valley, home of the Wax palm, Colombia’s national tree. A walk in Cartagena’s walled city and a visit to the beach in the Corales del Rosario National Park -perfect for snorkel- will put an end to this experience.

The Hacienda has the most estraordinary view, where you will be able to appreciate the mesmerazing beauty of the coffee plantations in the mountains in the south of el Quindio department. In addition, you will not only be tought the process of coffee steb-by-step, but also will be taken for a tasting of high quality coffee awarded internationaly in countries like Russia, South Korea, and Belgium. Accommodation. DAY 5. COFFEE REGION Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be taken to the principal location of the National tree and the world’s tallest palm, the Quindio wax palm in the Cocora Valley in the town of Salento. A guide from the area will take us into the natural cloud forest along the eco-trail to enjoy the magnificence of the palm trees and the spectacular landscapes. There, we will have some free time before going to Salento. A town of colorful balconies, handicraft workshops and a great viewpoint of the whole area. Well-known also for the delicious trout. Hoy conoceremos el centro histórico de Bogotá, caminaremos por la Plaza de Bolívar y las calles que parten de allí, en las que se ven edificios como el Capitolio Nacional, centro de la vida legislativa del país; la Casa de los Comuneros; la Casa de Nariño, sede de la Presidencia de la República; y la Iglesia Museo de Santa Clara. Luego visitaremos el Museo del Oro, donde se exhiben unas 34.000 piezas de orfebrería de diversas culturas prehispánicas, y después iremos a la Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar, donde vivió el Libertador Simón Bolívar. La ruta sigue de los 2.600 metros sobre el nivel del mar de la ciudad hasta los 3.152 a los que está el santuario de Monserrate. Hasta allí subiremos en teleférico o en funicular. We will walk around Plaza de Bolivar and surrounding areas, where you will be able to see the National Capitol, which is the seat of the Colombian Congress; la Casa de los Comuneros, the Presidential Palace (Casa de Nariño) and the Museum Santa Clara Church. Then you will be able to discover the metalworking processes of more than 34,000 pieces of metalwork displayed at the Gold Museum from various Hispanic cultures. On arrival, we will head out to the municipality of Buenavista and take a tour around Hacienda San Alberto, to learn about the fascinating world of coffee growing. The Hacienda has the most estraordinary view, where you will be able to appreciate the mesmerazing beauty of the coffee plantations in the mountains in the south of el Quindio department. In addition, you will not only be tought the process of coffee steb-by-step, but also will be taken for a tasting of high quality coffee awarded internationaly in countries like Russia, South Korea, and Belgium. Today you will be taken to the principal location of the National tree and the world’s tallest palm, the Quindio wax palm in the Cocora Valley in the town of Salento. Learning to dance salsa in Cali, a city that each year hosts the World Salsa Festival, is in store for those who choose this itinerary, which also includes a visit to the Sugar Cane Museum, a typical crop from Valle del Cauca. The journey continues at a farm where we will witness cofee production. We will start our tour of the world’s capital of salsa, with a visit to the center of the city. Driving across the city we will pass by the 3 tons monumental sculpture project made by the painter and sculpture Hernando Tejada, the “Cat of the River”, designed to beautify the banks of the Cali River. Along the Sixth Avenue, renowned for its nightlife, we will get to the San Francisco Religious Complex. An important complex of four buildings built between the 18th and 19th centuries with a rare example of a structure built in Mudejar style in the background, the Mudejar Tower. Hoy conoceremos el centro histórico de Bogotá, caminaremos por la Plaza de Bolívar y las calles que parten de allí, en las que se ven edificios como el Capitolio Nacional, centro de la vida legislativa del país; la Casa de los Comuneros; la Casa de Nariño, sede de la Presidencia de la República; y la Iglesia Museo de Santa Clara. Luego visitaremos el Museo del Oro, donde se exhiben unas 34.000 piezas de orfebrería de diversas culturas prehispánicas, y después iremos a la Casa Museo Quinta de Bolívar, donde vivió el Libertador Simón Bolívar. La ruta sigue de los 2.600 metros sobre el nivel del mar de la ciudad hasta los 3.152 a los que está el santuario de Monserrate. Hasta allí subiremos en teleférico o en funicular. Desde este punto se aprecia la mejor panorámica de Bogotá. En esas antiguas galerías subterráneas se erige la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá, 180 metros bajo la superficie. Allí se encuentra la capilla de los mineros en homenaje a la Virgen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Guasá (esta palabra quiere decir ‘mina’ en chibcha). Al final de la visita volveremos a Bogotá. Almost anyone who has had the chance to travel around Colombia would agree that this is a country of vast diversity and greater talent when it comes to food. And those who like to enjoy great food while traveling, know that dining around this country is one of the most exciting and satisfying things to do. This experience includes having lunch at the top of the Monserrate Mountain, which overlooks Bogotá. We will have dinner at one of the most famous restaurants in the capital and will also visit one of its marketplaces, where we will savour typical fruits before going to our chef’s kitchen to prepare our dish. In Quindío we will taste coffee at a farm and in Cartagena we will take a horse carriage ride to go for dinner at an elegant restaurant inside the walled city center.

DAY 1. BOGOTA Arrival at the El Dorado International Airport in Bogota. Reception and transfer to the hotel of your choice. DAY 2. BOGOTA Breakfast at the Hotel. While in Bogota, you cannot miss this tour. You will start your journey by visiting the historic heart of Bogota. We will walk around Plaza de Bolivar and surrounding areas, where you will be able to see the National Capitol, which is the seat of the Colombian Congress; la Casa de los Comuneros, the Presidential Palace (Casa de Nariño) and the Museum Santa Clara Church. Then you will be able to discover the metalworking processes of more than 34,000 pieces of metalwork displayed at the Gold Museum from various Hispanic cultures. Over time, technology improved and the muiscas began to extract larger amounts of salt. In addition, you will not only be taught the process of coffee step-by-step, but also will be taken for a tasting of high quality coffee awarded internationally in countries like Russia, South Korea, and Belgium. DAY 4. AMAZON - FINAL DESTINATION Breakfast at the reserve. At the scheduled time transfer by boat to Leticia to take the flight to the next destination.

A program designed to experience the relationship between a culture and their environment. This is a tour where you will have the chance to explore the Amazon Rainforest and witness the efforts of indigenous communities working for the benefit and preservation of their environment and culture. In Leticia, the capital city of the Amazonas department, we will take a boat to the Calanoa Nature Reserve, where we will visit its gardens and learn about a conservation project. The program includes a walk in the jungle during the night and the visit to the indigenous community of Mocagua, as well as a boat trip on the Amazonas River looking for pink dolphins. We will also listen to the songs of the Tikuna children who belong to the Vergel indigenous community.

DAY 2. AMAZON Breakfast at the reserve. Today we will pay a visit to the indigenous community of Mocagua. The Calanoa Foundation has developed a setting to integrate the Mocagua community in their conservation projects. A very special one was the painting of murals aimed to recover the myths and legends of the community. We will continue the day with an afternoon fishing activity at the port. We will then sail along the Amazon river in search of the pink dolphins. Accommodation. DAY 3. AMAZON Breakfast at the reserve. In the morning we will visit the Vergel community (a Tikuna indigenous tribe). There, weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll have the opportunity to visit the school and share some time with the children and enjoy their chants. After lunch, we will go on an expedition into the reserve to observe trees with gigantic roots, medicinal plants and the flora and fauna of the high forest land, among other wonders of nature in the region. At the end of this activity, a canoe will be waiting for us to take us down the Matamata Fall to an expedition along the flooded rainforest. Make sure not to miss this great experience. de San Agustín Este itinerario comienza en Neiva, la capital del departamento del Huila, desde donde visitaremos el desierto de la Tatacoa con su paisaje salpicado de rocas y cactus. Allí, de noche, se lleva a cabo un taller de astronomía para observar las estrellas. La siguiente parada es el Parque Arqueológico de San Agustín -incluido por la UNESCO en la lista del Patrimonio de la Humanidad-, donde se aprecian estatuas antropomorfas y zoomorfas de una misteriosa cultura.

San Agustin Archeological Park Archeology:

San Augustine Archeological Park is one of the declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO for being the largest group of religious monuments and megalithic sculptures in South America. This itinerary begins in Neiva, the capital city of the Huila department, from where we will visit the Tatacoa desert and its landscape dotted with rocks and cacti. There, at night, an astronomy workshop takes place in order for people to see the stars. The next stop is the San Agustín Archaeological Park -included on the World Heritage List by UNESCO-, where we will see statues in the shapes of men and animals that belonged to a mysterious culture.

DAY 2. NEIVA - SAN AGUSTIN Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up as scheduled. Today we will leave to go to San Agustin Archeological Park. If we have some time left, we could go for a horse ride across the Colombian Massif to the Magdalena Lagoon, where the Magdalena Rives springs. Accommodation. DAY 3. SAN AGUSTIN Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will visit the Archaeological Park of San Agustín. This pre-Columbian archeological site has the largest and most impressive collection of religious monuments and megalithic sculptures in Latin America. Uno de los paisajes más increíbles de Colombia es el que disfrutaremos en Caño Cristales, en el Parque Nacional Natural Sierra de la Macarena. Esta reserva del departamento del Meta se destaca por las aguas de un río que entre junio y noviembre adquiere varios colores gracias a unas plantas acuáticas llamadas macarenias. Allí también haremos una caminata y visitaremos sitios como las cascadas de Los Cuarzos, los Pozos del Amor y la Cascada de la Virgen.

This nature reserve which belongs to the Meta department is highlighted by a river in which an aquatic plant called macarenia gives many colors to the water, specially between the months of June and November. We will also hike and visit places such as the waterfalls of Los Cuarzos and the Virgin, and the Wells of Love.

DAY 2. LA MACARENA Breakfast at the hotel. We will take a boat trip along the Guayabero River to our starting point of the eco-trail. Today we will visit the left stem of the river, the Quartz Waterfalls, Pianos, the Love Wells and the Virgin Waterfall. Lunch included. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation. DAY 3. de los Andes al Caribe (Multisport) Esta ruta comprende andar en bicicleta por la ciclovía en Bogotá, donde visitaremos el Museo del Oro y el cerro de Monserrate. En la población de Suesca escalaremos en roca y montaremos a caballo en el valle de Ubaté para ver los paisajes de la sabana de Bogotá. Entre otras cosas, iremos a la laguna de Iguaque, sagrada para los indígenas Muiscas; cruzaremos el cañón del río Chicamocha, en Santander; y caminaremos a Pueblito, representativo de la cultura Tayrona.

Si es domingo saldremos por la mañana a la ciclovía, donde haremos un recorrido de aproximandamente 30 kilómetros, pasando por diferentes parques como el Simón Bolívar (el más grande de la ciudad) y El Virrey; también, por el Jardín Botánico. Saldremos en la mañana para visitar el Santuario de Flora y Fauna de Iguaque, donde se encuentra la laguna de Iguaque, considerada sagrada por los Muiscas (indígenas que habitaban la zona). Para llegar a la laguna es necesario caminar desde los 2.800 m.s.n.m. hasta los 3.400 m.s.n.m. (la distancia hasta la laguna es de aproximadamente 4 kilómetros por un sendero bastante inclinado), pero la vista al final compensa el esfuerzo. La tarde será libre para disfrutar del pueblo. Among other things, we will go to the Iguaque Lagoon, sacred to the Muisca natives; we will cross the Chicamocha River Canyon, in Santander; and will walk to Pueblito, in the Tayrona National Park, which is located near the city of Santa Marta.

Arrival to Villa de Leyva. Accommodation. DAY 5. VILLA DE LEYVA Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will first visit the Iguaque Flora and Fauna Sanctuary, an important natural reserve in Colombia. Once there, we will ascend to a sacred place of the Muiscas, an indiginous tribe that used to inhabit the area, the Iguaque lake. The lake is located in top of the mountain, about 3,400 meters over the sea level (it is a hike of about 4km long). A demanding trip, yet pretty rewarding. You will have the afternoon free for you to enjoy the village. Accommodation. DAY 6. VILLA DE LEYVA Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will bike ride around Villa de Leyva and surroundings. One of the areas we will visit is La Candelaria Desert, an area that used to make part of the ocean back in prehistoric times. Once at the desert, we will visit an indigenous observatory, el Infiernito; the Ecce Homo Monastery; the Marques de Villa de Leyva vineyard and Pozos Azules or blue wells, some small turquoise blue lakes in the middle of the desert. The perfect place for rock climbing with a great variety of routes and an amazing viewpoint of la Sabana de Bogota. We will continue our tour through parts of the sabana doing mountain biking. This will give us the chance to explore the geography of the area. We will finish the day in an old colonial house in the town of Ubate, recognized for being one of the largest dairy cattle breeding farm. Accommodation.

DAY 4. UBATE - RAQUIRA - VILLA DE LEYVA Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit three amazing villages. In the morning we will start our tour along the vast valley of Ubaté in an interesting horseback riding trip, where we will be able to enjoy the green scenery of the area. Por la mañana haremos un recorrido en bicicleta de montaña por la planicie de la Mesa de los Santos, que se encuentra al borde del Cañón del río Chicamocha. Por la tarde iniciaremos el cruce del cañón, para lo cual tendremos que caminar hasta Jordán, uno de los pueblos más pequeños del país, ubicado en el fondo del cañón. Nos alojaremos en el refugio de caminantes, luego de pasar el río. DÍA 9. JORDÁN - VILLANUEVA - BARICHARA Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy iniciaremos la caminata hacia el otro lado del cañón. Saldremos temprano para disfrutar del amanecer y si tenemos suerte podremos oír a los monos aulladores que habitan la región. In the morning we will start with a mountain bike ride along the plains of Mesa de los Santos, located on the edge of the Chicamocha Canyon. In the afternoon, we will walk down the Canyon passing waterfalls and farms to Jordan, one of the smaller villages of the country, located at the bottom, around 1000 feet above the sea level. We will spend the night at the walkersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; shelter, located on the other side of the river. DAY 9. JORDAN - VILLANUEVA - BARICHARA Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will go for a hike to the other side of the Chicamocha Canyon. We will depart early in the morning to be able to enjoy the sunrise and probably hear the monkeys howling, if lucky. On the other side of the Canyon is Villanueva, where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to Barichara. A well-preserved colonial town with cobblestone streets where you can enjoy a unique architectural legacy. Accommodation DAY 10. BARICHARA Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will have a day of adventure in San Gil, where we will be doing some rappelling from the top of the Juan Curi waterfall. A 75 meters rappel down to la Cueva del Indio. After exploring the cave, we will finish doing some rafting along Rio Suarez. Return to Barichara. Accommodation.

A walk along the old pathways used by the Tairona indigenous people will take us to Pueblito, a former indigenous settlement up in the mountains where we will able to enjoy beautiful landscape and quiet surroundings. Trekking:

Ciudad Perdida Santa Marta, a orillas del Mar Caribe, es la ciudad desde donde partiremos para explorar la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta hasta Ciudad Perdida, el centro urbano más importante de la antigua civilización Tayrona. En esta aventura caminaremos por varias horas al día y veremos cascadas. También nos bañaremos en piscinas naturales y recorreremos los senderos de piedra que construyeron los indígenas en estas montañas cerca del año 700 dC.

DÍA 1. SANTA MARTA Llegada a la ciudad de Santa Marta. Recepción en el aeropuerto y traslado al hotel elegido. Alojamiento.

DÍA 2. SANTA MARTA - CABAÑA DE ADÁN Desayuno en el hotel. A la hora acordada, traslado hasta la región de El Mamey en un jeep (recorrido que dura aproximadamente 3 horas). En El Mamey se inicia una caminata que va ascendiendo hasta llegar a la primera estación, donde se encuentra un sitio acondicionado con hamacas y que tiene algunas piscinas naturales para refrescarse. CABAÑA DE ADÁN - CABAÑA DE GABRIEL Desayuno a las 7:00 a.m. A las 9:00 a.m. se inicia nuevamente la caminata: un trayecto corto para luego descender a un pequeño valle formado por el rio Buritaca, donde se encuentran algunas construcciones indígenas agrupadas en un pequeño poblado conocido como Mutanzhi. Pasaremos la noche en la cabaña. Refrigerios, almuerzo y cena durante el recorrido. Alojamiento. DÍA 4. CABAÑA DE GABRIEL - CABAÑA DE ROMUALDO Desayuno a las 6:30 a.m. y salida a las 7:00 a.m. Se empieza a caminar por sectores del resguardo indígena Kogui – Arsario y en el Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, pasando por varias casas indígenas. En algunas partes se ven huellas de los caminos dejados por los antiguos habitantes de la región. Ciudad perdida (the lost city) Santa Marta, by the Caribbean Sea, is the city from which we will depart to explore the Sierra Nevada (Snow Caped Mountain) until we reach Ciudad Perdida (The Lost City), the most important urban center of the ancient Tayrona civilization. During this adventure we will hike for many hours each day and will see waterfalls. We will also relax in natural pools and will travel through the stone roads that were built around the year 700 a.C. by the natives of these mountains.

DAY 1. SANTA MARTA Arrival to Santa Marta. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice. Accommodation.

DAY 5. ROMUALDO COTTAGE - LOST CITY - GABRIEL COTTAGE Breakfast at 8 am. This 2 hour walk will finally take us to Ciudad Perdida. Once there, we will walk around the park to learn about the work, the life style of the Tairona people and their background. We will the opportunity to see their current indigenous ceremonial houses and the vegetation of the region. We will also have the chance take a bath in the Well of Youth, which according to the legend, works like a charm. After completing the tour, we will go back to la Caba単a de Gabriel. Sierra Nevada del Cocuy Luego de visitar el Museo del Oro y el cerro de Monserrate, en Bogotá, viajaremos hasta el pueblo de Monguí (Boyacá), donde caminaremos por el páramo de Ocetá, abundate en flora y paisajes. La siguiente parada es el Parque Nacional Natural El Cocuy, donde haremos una caminata de aclimatación para acostumbrarnos a la altura del lugar (3.900 metros sobre el nivel del mar) antes de emprender la escalada de 900 metros verticales hasta el imponente glaciar Ritacuba Blanco. DÍA 1. BOGOTÁ Llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional El Dorado, en Bogotá. Recepción y traslado al hotel elegido.

DÍA 2. BOGOTÁ - SOGAMOSO Desayuno en el hotel. Haremos una visita rápida al Museo del Oro, donde se exhiben unas 34.000 piezas de arte precolombino. Caminaremos por la zona colonial de La Candelaria y subiremos al cerro de Monserrate para ver la ciudad desde su punto más alto. Luego saldremos de Bogotá para llegar a Sogamoso, en el departamento de Boyacá. Alojamiento.

DÍA 3. SOGAMOSO Desayuno en el hotel. Saldremos temprano hacia el pueblo de Monguí, donde se encuentra el páramo de Ocetá. Este páramo tiene una amplia variedad de flora y paisajes, por lo que es considerado uno de los más bellos de Colombia. Alojamiento. DÍA 4. SOGAMOSO - PNN COCUY Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy viajaremos al Parque Nacional Natural Cocuy, parando antes en el pueblo de Güicán para almorzar. Nuestras primeras noches serán en la zona de Kanwara, donde nos alojaremos en cabañas. Una vez acomodados, haremos una caminata de aclimatación para acostumbrarnos a la altura del lugar (3.900 m.s.n.m.). Alojamiento. DÍA 5. PNN COCUY Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy haremos el trekking al Glaciar del Ritacuba Blanco (de 8 a 9 horas). Este es un exigente ascenso de 900 metros verticales para llegar al borde del glaciar de la montaña más alta de la sierra. En el camino se pasa por varios terrenos hasta alcanzar el borde. Regresaremos a la cabaña de Kanwara. Alojamiento.

Alojamiento. DÍA 7. PNN COCUY - SIGUIENTE DESTINO Desayuno en el hotel. Hoy dejaremos el parque, para lo cual saldremos caminando nuevamente hasta el vehículo que nos estará esperando. Sierra Nevada del Cocuy This is a great tour for mountain lovers. It has been designed for people who enjoy trekking and hiking, that are not necessarily mountain climber experts, but are in good physical condition. For experts, there are other options available. After visiting the Gold Museum and the Monserrate Mountain in Bogotá, we will travel to the town of Monguí (Boyacá), where we will see theA Ocetá Highland, rich in flowers and landscapes. The next stop is El Cocuy National Natural Park, where we will take an acclimatization walk in order to get used to the altitude (3,900 meters above sea level) before climbing 900 vertical meters to reach the imposing Ritacuba Blanco Glacier.

DAY 5. COCUY NNP Breakfast at the camping zone. Today we will hike the Ritacuba Blanco Peak. This is a 900 feet and 8 to 9 hours hike to reach this peak, which is the highest in this area. A quite challenging hike, yet fairly easy. Return to Kanwara. Accommodation. DAY 6. COCUY NNP Breakfast at the camping zone. In the morning we will leave Kanwara to visit the Southern Sector of the Park. We will enter this area through el Sector Los Herrera. This is a quite easy hike of approximately 2 hours. Today we will depart and hike back to where a vehicle will be waiting for us to drive us around el Cocuy town. From here we will depart to our next destination.

DAY 1. BOGOTA Arrival at the El Dorado International Airport in Bogota. Reception and transfer to the hotel of your choice.

DAY 3. SOGAMOSO From the town of Sogamoso we will travel to Mongui, early in the morning, to visit the wasteland of Oceta. This moor, in spite of its short extension, is a place of great variety of flora and landscapes, and has been considered as one of the most beautiful of Colombia. . Accommodation. DAY 4. SOGAMOSO - COCUY NNP Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will go to El Cocuy Natural National Park. Located in the department of Boyaca, this high altitud park near the Gûican village, where we will make our first stop for lunch, is a chain of more than 25 peaks capped with snow. We will spend the first few nights camping in Kanwara, before ascending the 3,900 meters above sea level, to give you some time to get used to the altitude. Accommodation.

DAY 2. BOGOTA - SOGAMOSO Breakfast at the hotel. We will take a quick tour around the Gold Museum where you will be able to see the metalworking processes of more than 34,000 pieces of pre-columbian art. Then, we will take a walk around the colonial surroundings of la Candelaria up to Monserrate, from where you can watch the city from its highest point. Afterwards, trip to Sogamoso. Accommodation.
