FAVOR / WORM THE SONY LOUNGE:

Favor

Worm

A friend helps you move. A good friend helps you move a body.

Worm is a Southern Neo-Noir of sorts that plays out as a modern day “Whodunit.” Jason “Worm” Truitt has a young daughter he loves dearly, and a beautiful girlfriend he also loves, but who he fears may be out of his league. Worm is always caught doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, taking odd jobs from and for shady men, and even breaking the law from time to time.

Kip has everything he’s ever wanted. He has a thriving career, a beautiful wife, and an affluent lifestyle, all of which is put in jeopardy when Abby, the waitress with whom he’s having a casual fling, is accidentally killed. Desperate, he ends up on the doorstep of childhood friend Marvin and asks him for a big favor—help get rid of Abby’s body. Dark and comedic at the same time, director Paul Osborne’s Favor tests the boundaries of friendship in dramatic fashion. A strong cast and tight writing keep the audience on edge right until the conclusion plays out.

About the filmmaker Andrew Bowser grew up acting and auditioning in a suburb of Washington, DC. He started directing music videos for small bands and moved on to short films and comedy videos. He’s only ever wanted to be one thing - a film director.
