Banning of the use of mobile phones in some public places is becoming more common, but enforcement is not so easy. Therefore, there are created rules for use mobile phones. They should be written up and distributed to all living beings who own them: 1. Do not talk and drive, even with a hands-free phone, except in a life-or-death emergency. 2. Turn your phone off in a church, at a concert, at a funeral, wedding, etc. 3. Don't take an unimportant call while talking to people in a restaurant, at a party, so forth. 4. Don't talk loudly in public. Following these rules you will do better for yourselves and people around you. What is your opinion so far? Resources: 1. Should mobile phone be banned in public places? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index? qid=20081117070611AAseMlT Irina P. - Veronica, thank you for the interesting information. I agree with the opinion that mobile phones should be banned in public places. People mustn't suffer from the problems of the strangers, which they must listened in the buses, for example. People must use the phones only in the most important situations of their life. Anastasiia G. - Veronika, I agree with you that sometimes using cell phone by one person can be annoying for others. But talks on a cell phone (even in public places) is a modern style of life and it can not be banned. On my opinion it's more question of politeness and person's behavior. As for me i try to turn sound off of cell phone if i'm in public place only for one reason: do not disturb anyone. Hello! I am Tania Ostapiuk, student of RSHU and at the same time teacher of English. I am very glad I had the opportunity to be a member of online conference. It is the best way to improve language skills. Tania Ostapiuk, RSHU Науковий керівник - Olena Franchuk HAS THE INTERNET CHANGED OUR LIVES FOR BETTER OR WORSE? The Internet has grown and matured for more than twenty years now, and it cannot be denied that it has affected almost everyone on the planet. The Internet definitely does things to you, and does not leave you the same as you once were. But are these good things, or bad things? Has the Internet changed our lives for the better? YES The Internet is like a crystal ball, but what can we see in it? The Internet is freely available, universal communication. It is access to all the knowledge and learning of the entire world. It is an instant, free service which provides you with news, media, and knowledge, no matter where you go or what you do. The Internet affects everyone in the same way - it gives them more tools for faster communication, gives them more knowledge for smarter decisions, and gives them more people for a greater social network. These are all good things. 49
