This is a quick intro class to kayaking

Beginning at 8:30 p.m. Back by popular demand!

A night of stars, planets, and presentations by AstroCampania. Professional astronomers and high tech telescopes will be on hand for an amazing view of various areas of the solar system.

Community Events

llustrates basic paddle skills, equipment and safety procedures that will give you the minimum basic knowledge required to participate with more comfort in our kayaking day trips. Fee: $35 person (12 yrs and older) (fee includes equipment and transportation)

Be prepared to get wet. Bring Euros for any incidentals, snacks, drinks. Eligibility and Limitations: No previous paddling experience is required.

Trekking Day Trip Sat, May 23 at Mount Faito (Sign-up: NLT May 18)

Fee: $30 per person (15 yrs and older) Min/Max: 5/8 These treks require no previous mountaineering or rock climbing experience. Participants should be reasonably fit and on some treks be able to hike steep trail conditions.

Kayaking Day Trip

Sat, May 30 at Sorrento Marina della Lobra (Sign-up: NLT May 26)

Navigate the open seas on the Med and paddle a comfortable recreation kayak. Fee: $45 person (15 yrs and older)

Min/Max: 5/8 Eligibility and Limitations: Previous paddling experience in deck kayaks required. For NOR programs, 17 yrs & under must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.

Open to non-U.S. residents and approved Private Organizations ONLY. Fee: $50

Lodging Opportunities

Cabins, yurt and tent sites available. A two-night min. is required during 4th of July weekend.

May 4 to 10: Children’s Book Week In conjunction with the Naples MWR Libraries. Book display and a drawing contest for ages 3 to 13 at the Fleet Recreation Center (FRC). Tue, May 5: Lunch Fiesta Enjoy a Cinco de Mayo lunch celebration with brightly colored decorations and mariachi music at a local restaurant! Bus transportation cost is €12.00 per person and departs at 10:30 a.m. Meal will be paid on site separately.

Fri, May 8: Mother’s Day Craft Decorate and customize a ceramic tea cup while enjoying a flavored tea or coffee. Runs all day at the FRC, while supplies last.
