Each year, Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC), through the departments of Research and Institutional Assessment and Academic Affairs, conducts a survey of all graduates from the preceeding year, to determine the status of their employment and continuing education. In 2010, this survey was redesigned also to gauge overall satisfaction with academic programming as it relates to job preparedness, as well as to examine whether experiential learning was a factor in the employability of our graduates. The new survey was administered through the college’s Center for Democracy and Humanity via the AmeriCorps Job Ready Program in an effort to allowMWCC to measure the effectiveness of programmatic and staff efforts to help students achieve their individual career and educational goals. It is also used by students to investigate trends in the job market regarding the employment and/or transfer of students from particular programs.
