In 2014 over 19 million kg eggs were packed at Munax with a 26 million eur turnover. Over fifty people are working at Munax today. Eggs are delivered from over 60 contract producers. We offer our customers eggs and egg products all from the same place. The eggs are promoted both as Laitilan Kanatarha and Private label products. We have organic, free range, barn and enriched eggs. gs n i t e e CEO`s gr It is difficult to estimate the quality of the eggs just by looking at them. That makes it even more important to have full knowledge of the origin. At Munax we know what is happening in our production chain: How the feed is produced, where the eggs are being laid, the welfare of the chicken and how the eggs are packed. Thanks to this we can fully guarantee the quality of our egg products. The quality control at Munax is computerized. Each egg is quality inspected and weighed to ensure our customer the product is as promised. Animal welfare is important to us because happy chickens lay the best eggs. We also take the environment into consideration in all daily actions and purchases. The eggs in Finland are salmonella free. This is no co-incidence, but a result of a strict salmonella control program. We follow the Finnish Food Authorities Eviras regulations for salmonella testing in all our production facilities. We also monitor that our producers follow their salmonella testing program. We on our side make sure that the egg is handled, transported and stored properly. The most significant advantage with the egg product compared to shell eggs, is that they are risk free. The products have been heat treated and are absolutely salmonella free. Munax special strength is the patented apparel for producing egg products – you won´t find the same equipment elsewhere in Scandinavia! The heating can be made in higher temperature than normally without making damage to the functionality of the egg. For this reason the egg products have a longer shelf life.
