Jeremiah 1:4-10. 4

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalm 132:10-14 10

For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. 11

The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. 12

6

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

7

But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

13

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. 14

8

Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9

Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10

See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

I Timothy 3:1-7 1

This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

I Timothy 4:12-16 12

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

3

Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

14

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

4

One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5

(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7

Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

15

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Leader: (To congregation) Do you promise to hear attentively the preaching of the Word, to participate reverently in the services of worship, to share with this pastor in the responsibilities of teaching and learning, to assume your proportionate part of the church's benevolent ministries, to receive him into your hearts and homes, to counsel with him concerning the welfare of the church and the winning of souls, to encourage him in his stand for right, to forgive him when he makes mistakes, and to follow his leadership as he follows Christ? Congregation: We do. Leader: Let us all together reaffirm our high resolution and devotion to the preaching of the good tidings of salvation. All: We consecrate our gifts. Leader: To the teaching of Jesus' way of life. All: We consecrate our time. Leader: To the leading of children and youth to the knowledge of the love of Christ. All: We consecrate our talents. Leader: To the healing of broken bodies and the soothing of troubled minds. All: We consecrate our service. Leader: To the caring for the helpless and the relief of all those who look to us for help. All: We consecrate our strength. Leader: To the evangelization of the community and the worldwide extension of the Kingdom of God. All: We consecrate our wealth, our efforts and our lives. Leader to members: You have heard the solemn promise. Receive it not as the word of men, but what the Word of God expects of you as members of his flock. Listen eagerly to his preaching of the Word, receiving it not as a word of men, but the Word of God. Take to heart his scriptural words of warning and encouragement, humbly accepting the Word planted in you. Work together with him for our Lord's kingdom so that by your works of service the Body of Christ might be built up. Honor him and love him. The apostle Paul says: "Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Pray for him continually, that his ministry among you may be greatly blessed."

Pastor Murray, as an ambassador of Christ, you are to preach and teach the pure doctrine of God's Word, administer the Sacraments according to Christ's institution, instruct the young in the way of salvation, counsel the inquiring, strengthen the weak, seek the lost and reclaim the straying, comfort the sorrowing, care for the needy, visit the sick, minister to the dying, and pray for the spiritual welfare of every soul under your care. You are to devote yourself to the meditation and study of the Scriptures and carry out your duties in conformity with the Word of God. You (and your family) are to be an example to others in godliness and Christian living, putting no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that the ministry will not be discredited. The Apostle Paul says here is a trustworthy saying: "If any one sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. “(I Timothy 3:1-4, 6, 7) Reverend Murray, Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. Keep your head in all situations, endure hardship; do the work of an evangelist; discharge all the duties of your ministry. (II Timothy 4: 2, 5)

**Wording subject to change

Leader: Pastor Murray, having been called to be pastor of this church, do you take this people to be your people, this field of labor to be your field, without reservation of mind or heart? Pastor: I do Leader: Do you promise to give yourself faithfully to the ministry to the Word and to prayer, to be a good shepherd of this flock of God, to minister to the needs of all alike, to be the friend of all who will permit you, to seek the salvation of souls and the nurture of the saved, to put the service of Christ and His Kingdom above all else, if wronged to forgive as you expect to be forgiven, to seek always to keep yourself mentally alert and physically fit, as much as in you lies to be at peace with all men, and to lead this church in the ways of Christ as the Holy Spirit may give you wisdom and strength? Pastor: I do

The office of Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion Tabernacle Christian Church is now committed to you in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit. The God of peace who brought again for the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Sheppard of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in you that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen

Pastor Murray, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. First Lady Murray Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a wise wife is from the LORD. Don’t ever change.

The Pastor's Wife We often hear of Heroes on the news at night, How someone went into a fire to save someone else's life. But, there's another hero that we never hear about, though her love and dedication are never in a doubt. Often took for granted Never glorified, Still she keeps on going for the person by her side. She stands beside him everyday no matter what is thrown their way, for he was called from above to spread the message of "GOD'S LOVE". And just as he was called she was handpicked to. For it takes someone Special to do what she must do. And thou he may get the Glory and he may get the Fame, She will stand beside him in Love and Help him just the same. She's the person he turns to when he needs a friend, she will always be there till the "Glorious End". I would like to take this moment to introduce to you, a LOVELY unsung Hero for whom GOD hand-picked to spend her life as The Pastor's WIFE.

the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2And

I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3And

I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

There rings that phone again! Someone is sick or needs advice, And asks for him to call; And as God's man they know he'll come, And hardly mind at all. The wisdom of King Solomon Is all he needs each day To lead his flock and keep them safe From Satan's cunning ways! Like Jesus he prays for his sheep Prays faith will never dim; But when we lift our prayers to God How many pray for him? So let's be faithful to that one Who helps us day by day Let's not forget our man of God When we kneel down to pray!

The Blessings of Brotherly Unity A Song of degrees of David. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Congratulations Pastor Murray Brother Simon Shackelford
