21 Chamber selects 2009 Superstars The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Alliance has selected the winners of the 2009 Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards. The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards, named for one of Delaware’s leading small business entrepreneurs, honor businesses and nonprofit corporations for their outstanding achievements and model approaches to business and management. They are presented to companies that have been in business for at least three years, have no more than 150 employees, and are members of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Awards of Excellence are also granted to deserving companies. The awards ceremony will take place Wednesday, Nov. 4, at a luncheon at the Hotel du Pont’s Gold Ballroom. Former Governor of Delaware Pete du Pont will be the keynote speaker. The 2009 Superstars in Business Award winners are: Home Instead Senior Care (category of up to 25 employees), Landmark Engineering, Inc. (26 to 64 employees), Aloysius Butler & Clark (65 to 150 employees), Catholic Charities Inc. Becker Morgan Group chosen Best of Delaware winner

Moore receives certificate of recognition for revitalization efforts

Mayor Carlton E. Carey recently presented Gregory V. Moore, P.E., vice president of Becker Morgan Group, with a Certificate of Recognition for his efforts to revitalize downtown Dover and specifically his work through the Downtown Dover Partnership. Beginning in 2006 with his term as president of The Greater Dover Committee, and in the subsequent two years, Moore worked tirelessly to help build a solid foundation for the Downtown Dover Partnership, whose purpose is to promote the development of economic, cultural, and historic resources in the City of Dover.
