actually inhibit the normal development of the upper jaw. Tongue thrusting is another habit which can cause a lot of damage in jaw development and teeth growth and position. If this habit persists after the age of 4 to 5 years, there is an increasing likelihood that this pattern will remain. Even the child’s speech patterns can be negatively affected.
Habits in Children Causing Orthodontic Problems Habits can be responsible for a number of orthodontic and orthopedic problems and should be addressed as soon as possible. When treated immediately most of the problems caused by habits can be reversed. However, when no intervention occurs a serious malocclusion is inevitable. A thumb or finger sucking habit can initially cause the upper front teeth to move forward and the lower front teeth to move back. Sometimes it can prevent the front teeth from erupting normally. If this is not treated as soon as possible it can lead to the narrowing of the upper jaw causing a anterior open bite and a smaller lower jaw. Lip biting and lip sucking of the lower lip can cause the upper teeth to tip forward and the lower teeth to tip back. Over time this causes an increase in the amount of over jet. Biting or sucking the upper lip can
Nocturnal grinding or buxism can occur in children. This is usually a sign of an existing malocclusion. It could also be an indicator that the child is suffering from an airway problem. Children with huge adenoids and chronic allergy rhinitis tend to develop mouth breathing habits. This causes narrowing of the upper and lower jaws and open mouth with prominent upper front teeth. Early diagnosis and treatment of these habits can prevent major dental and jaw problems in children and also protecting the self esteem in children due to speech problems. Therefore, regular checkups with the dentist are highly recommended to monitor and recognize impediments to normal facial growth and correct these problems early on and if need be the dentist will work with the pediatrician and ENT specialist for the best welfare of the child.

Starting your sprinkler system while the ground is still frozen can result in damage to the pipes. Use a shovel to make sure that the soil is frostfree 12 inches deep. If it is still solid as a rock, then wait another week and test it again before starting the sprinkler system. Run a check of the irrigation controls and programs. This includes dusting away the cobwebs on the timer, making sure the date and time is correct, and that the settings are appropriate for your landscape’s watering needs. Replace the back-up battery in the timer/controller every 6 months, and keep a copy of the watering schedule nearby. Check for rocks, dirt, sand and other types of debris that may block the even flow of water from sprinkler heads. Uneven distribution can lead to too much water in some areas and not enough in others, both resulting in an unhealthy landscape

Replace cracked, chipped or worn components, such as sprinkler heads, nozzles, valves or pipes. A broken sprinkler can wreak havoc on lawns, gardens, and water bills, so it is important to check and replace them periodically.
When you first turn the main water valve back on, make sure the water pressure is at a safe operating range for sprinkler systems. A system with too much pressure will result in cracked pipes, busted valves, sprinkler head leaks and inefficient watering. Invest in a water pressure gauge that can be used to measure water pressure in your home and yard. These devices typically connect to a hose faucet and give you a good idea of the pressure in your irrigation system. If the pressure is above the suggested operating range (typically 40 - 65 PSI), a pressure regulator may be required to prevent damage to the sprinkler system or undesirable results. For example, if water is “misting” out of your sprinkler heads, your pressure is too high and should be reduced.
Valves are the heart of any irrigation system. They regulate the distribution of water throughout the entire system. A leaky valve will waste water, and increase your water bill. Visually inspect each valve to make sure they are operating properly. Before turning on any water to the system, make sure all manual drain valves are returned to the closed position. Overly wet areas in the lawn, resulting in muddy and/or barren patches, may be a result of a leaky valve. Water hammer is a high-pressure surge that occurs when a valve is first opened. An initial pressure surge can result in pipe bursts and damaged valves. When restoring water to your sprinkler system,

What most alarmists do not discuss is that only a small percentage of loans in the USA are over $750,000 and over one third are owned outright. The factors that led to a crash in 2008 are not in paly today. The PRIMARY reason to own a home is UNCHANGED. The WHY you should own is relatively easy. Rents are high and with the strong resistance to building they will continue to rise and be unpredictable, when you own you know what your payment will be and it your home not the landlord to dictate rules. Mortgage interest will most likely remain the largest deduction for the middle class. Mortgage interest rates remain historically low and there is a fair amount of inventory from which to choose.

So what’s holding you back? Down Payment? Many people are intimidated by the widely publicized 20-percent down-payment requirement. There are many federal programs and other methods designed to help homebuyers, and even those who have lost their homes to foreclosure. For example, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and FHA have loans available to first-time buyers with as little as 3-3.5% percent down. If you qualify there are a number of programs and grants that can help with the down payment. With a seller credit for closing costs I have gotten buyers into a home for as little as $500 out of pocket. For veterans, the VA program has no-down-payment loans available for qualifying military members and veterans that can close with almost no out of pocket money. Why wait? What’s the worst that could happen if you buy a home now? You’ve already seen it, the 2007 mortgage crisis. It will take generations before the government lets the banking systems get that far out of hand again. It is far more likely that home prices will steadily climb as they have been. Americans are back to work and leading the global economy out of stagnation. The American population will continue to grow and build families of all types, creating more demand for housing. Look at the homeownership benefits that are mostly forgotten
