Summer Skateboard Camp
Come on out to Olney Manor Skatepark for some xtreme skateboarding fun this summer! Professional instructors from American Inline Skating will teach you how to push, ride, tack turn olly, kick flip, grind, stall, drop in and get air. Everyone will be grouped by age and ability, so you'll be with other kids who skate at your level. Required equipment: Skateboard, helmet designed for skateboarding, elbow and knee pads, wrist guards, water and snack. Summer Inline Skating Camp
Learn how to gear up, stand up, skate, stop, avoid falling down, turn, crossover, skate backwards, negotiate obstacles and skate safely. We’ll play skating games, and take skating tours around the park, too. Required equipment: inline skates, helmet, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, water and snack. Every other sport has leagues and competitions, so why not skateboarding? Every Thursday night from June 28 through August 2 (except July 5), Olney Manor Skatepark will feature a different mix of fun and challenging skateboarding contests for you and your friends. Each team will have 3-5 players. All team members will compete individually and earn points for their team. We'll keep track of each team's score throughout the 5-week season, then name the Skatepark League Champions (complete with trophies) at the summer's end. Have fun, win prizes, and earn bragging rights! Talk with your friends if you'd like them to be on your team, and ask them to sign up, too. Or if you like, we'll put you with 3-4 others skaters at a similar skill level. Each skater will need to register and pay separately in ParkPASS.
