Board the bus at either Brookside Gardens in Wheaton or Seneca Lodge in Boyds, MD, and we'll take you on a magical guided tour of: Rockwood Manor, a charming 1920s estate with overnight accommodations for 100 guests, nestled in the woods of Potomac Seneca Lodge, a handsome log cabin with stone fireplace, cathedral ceiling and panoramic views Woodlawn Manor, an elegant Georgian-style house, tent and stone barn perched on top of rolling pastures in Sandy Spring Brookside Gardens, with its breathtaking gardens and versatile indoor/outdoor settings Agricultural History Farm Park, a turn-ofthe-century farm and barn on 410 acres of meadowland in Derwood. D.I.Y. Wedding Specialty Workshops Meet at Rockwood Manor in Potomac the third Wednesday of each month to learn more about specific wedding planning topics.
Designing an Unforgettable Wedding We'll take a virtual stroll through the many flower options, share some good questions to ask potential videographers and photographers, talk about different kinds of ceremonies (nondenominational, religious, blended) and trends in décor, and discuss entertainment options (DJs, live bands, dancers, etc.). Here Come the Guests!
You want your wedding party and guests to be comfortable and have as much fun as you do! So tonight's workshop will cover overnight accommodations (Rockwood Manor has them on site), the rehearsal dinner, seating arrangements for the ceremony and reception, wedding weekends, and creative ideas for showing your appreciation to family and friends. Plan A...and Plan B
A good plan and a contingency plan are both needed for a picture-perfect wedding day. We'll talk about how to be ready for inclement weather, find a seat at the reception for guests who don't RSVP, deal with vendors who are late or don't show at all, and other potential wedding day disasters.
