Letter from Jason Bailey, Director of eLearning and Instructional Technology

On behalf of the entire eLearning Team, I would like to welcome you to our 3rd annual eLearning Revolution Summer Conference, an innovative concept that was featured in last month’s edition of THE Journal. Each of the past two years, this conference has proven to be a catalyst, helping us take steps toward more engaging and meaningful work for the students of the EVSC. With more than double the number of registered attendees, this year’s conference is sure to be a powerful next step. Besides adding several grade levels, this conference also offers a much broader scope of topics than last year. In addition to learning about our learning management system, and how to manage 1 to1 in your classroom, these two days will also provide opportunities to learn more about your Promethean Board, Rosetta Stone, as well as the collaborative opportunities available in Indiana’s Learning Connection. We are so excited to have two tremendous keynote speakers this year, but I still believe that the most powerful part of this conference is you. Each year, as our experience grows, we have teachers who are willing to take the lead and share some amazing new ideas. I hope you will take advantage of every opportunity to collaborate and share knowledge with your fellow educators. Thank you for being a part of the Revolution!

In 2009, during the restructuring of the EVSC Academic Team, Jason was appointed to Director of eLearning and Instructional Technology. Through collaboration with members of the Academic Team and Offi ce of Technology, Jason had been involved in the creation of the Learning Leadership Cadre, high school 1:1 implementation, eLearning coaches, as well as the adoption of digital resources such as the ANGEL learning management system and Apex Learning.
