The book, music and lyrics are by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Stages production of "Grease" is directed and choreographed by Helene Leonard and performed by over fifty local young actors - ages eight to seventeen. This is Stages first production of "Grease since 2001, when Raphael Odell Shapiro who plays Danny in this production, played the Teen Angel, and Meaghan Cornacchio who plays Sandy, was in the Chorus. The musical accompaniment is provided by Amanda Jones on piano and James Benard on percussion and bass. The class will explore the central elements of the actor's craft through work on scenes from classic and contemporary plays. The emphasis will be on performance work that is authentic, specific and courageous. Maximum enrollment 16 students; age 18 and up. Admission is by interview only.
