The multiple means of making art after the end of illusionism led artists to create performances, sculptures, earthworks, tableaux, furniture, shaped canvases, and more, using unusual materials.

Sat 11/10 A Conversation with Almond Zigmund 5 pm $5 Parrish Members / $10 Non-Members Almond Zigmund draws on a variety of sources, including domestic and commercial settings, to create drawings, sculpture and installations that directly engage the space they occupy and convey to viewers a heightened sense of their surroundings. Ms. Zigmund and Alicia Longwell, Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Chief Curator, Art and Education, will discuss the work of this talented East End artist.

Sun 11/11 Almond Zigmund Studio Tour 2 pm ($500 level Members and higher) Almond Zigmund's work will be featured in our fall exhibition, Almond Zigmund: Remembering the Future. This visit to her studio will provide a deeper look into the process and inspiration behind the young and upcoming artist's installations that bring together the disciplines of painting, sculpture, and design.

The Parrish, in collaboration with The Rogers Memorial Library and The Southampton Historical Museum, presents our annual Family Fiesta Day celebrating Latin American culture, heritage and traditions. The day features a wide array of activities including traditional dances, costumes, singers, music, art workshops and authentic samplings of food from local Latin restaurants. All activities are conducted in both English and Spanish. No advance registration is required.
