Tues 6/30 The Intersection of Art, Land Conservation and History in Our Community – Clinton Academy, 151 Main Street, East Hampton 4:30 pm Land conservation serves many purposes, but foremost is the preservation of place, the historic quality of a community that would be lost if development were to move forward without proper planning. This capturing of the history of a place can also be found in the work of the "Plein Air Peconic" artists as they visit sites conserved with the help of the Trust, and create works of art "en plein air." Please join us as we explore this interesting topic at a roundtable discussion, to be moderated by the Clinton Academy's Richard Baron, with participation by artists Casey Chalem Anderson, Kathryn Szoka and Eileen Dawn Skretch, and the Trust's John v.H. Halsey. Reception to follow. SOUTH FORK NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM 377 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton 5379735 Reservations are required for all events.
