The Mill House Inn East Hampton NY - “Your Home in the Hamptons” "Swing, Baby Swing," "I Ain't Dead Yet" and "Dirty All the Time" (see the video at this website or at Youtube.com). The next move was to bring in a full-time tenor saxophonist and Minnesota native Paul Scher was-and IS-the man. Joe Lauro, and later Tony Palumbo, brought the big upright bass sound to the band's increasingly swinging style. 2005's "A Lone Sharks Six-Pack" featured classic rockabilly and R&B in addition to Gene's "Sherri on the Ferry" (dedicated to their Shelter Island fans), and the lilting ballad "Who's Sharing the Moon," later performed as a duet by Gene and local great, Nancy Atlas in her recent live CD/DVD set. Two subsequent full-length CDs 2008's "What Happened" and 2009's "Rhythm & Twang" further the cause of all things Lone Sharks. In the course of maintaining their status as "Best of the Best" (Dan's Papers and Hamptons Magazine) the Lone Sharks have shared billing and/or backed-up NRBQ, Link Wray, Sleepy LaBeef, Wanda Jackson, Bill Kirchen, the Who's John Entwistle, Caroline Doctorow, The Highway QC's and on one unforgettable night, Tiny Tim. Gene and the band are proud to part of a thriving live music scene with other bands such as Roy Wilson’s Buzzards, The Blaggards, Matty Liot's Big Up, Moondogs, Rhythm Bound, The Found Cats, The Hornets and upstate's Mark Gamsjager & the Lustre Kings.
