The system also provides audible and visual warning to the driver via a cockpit control panel. A manual discharge switch, conveniently located near the driver allows for an immediate discharge of the extinguisher and activation of vehicle shutdown. Always at the forefront of engineering and design, Prevost’s new Fire Detection and Suppression system is the most complete system on the market today. It uses not only a linear thermal detector, but also an optical infrared to improve passenger safety by protecting the engine compartment from fire. The optical infrared is the same patented technology used to detect crew bay explosions on military tanks. It looks for fire verses feeling for temperature and can detect rapidly building fire in less than one second! The interior renovation required reupholstering furniture while matching fabrics and finishes. “On this particular remodel, the coach was essentially new inside but didn’t fit the client’s lifestyle. We converted the galley dining area into a new dining bar with matching bar stools, mirrored walls were softened with leather upholstered panels. A custom bedding ensemble was designed to match the new interior. Skip and Georgia knew what they wanted; they just needed our resources to find the exact materials and show them their options.” With over 2000 vendors represented in our Design Center, there’s something for everyone. The addition of a tire pressure monitoring system monitors current air pressure and indicates when tires are under inflated.
