Fire Safety Advisors x 2 posts Band 6 £24,103 - £32,653 pa (subject to banding) Part time 22.5 hrs pw Permanent Ref: PT8316 We are seeking to appoint two people with relevant experience in fire safety. Both posts will be required to provide a service across Cheshire and Wirral. One will be based in Macclesfield whilst the other will be based in the Estates headquarters on the Wirral. The purpose of the post will be to monitor the standard of fire safety across the Trust and to provide advice to management and project teams on the fire safety measures required in refurbishments, new projects and to complete and review fire risk assessments for all Trust properties. There will be a requirement to liaise with all levels of management, staff, local authority fire inspectors, Building Inspectors and architects. You will also be required to prepare and deliver fire safety training to staff. A thorough knowledge in a fire safety related field is required and evidence of a good general education is essential. A fire related professional qualification such as membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, together with experience in a healthcare environment would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

You must maintain a good level of administration, including navigation and co-ordination, writing incident reports and handling cash, credit and debit card transactions (including banking). You should possess a sound level of education, have excellent communication skills, and ideally be fully experienced in this type of work with knowledge of applicable legislation and codes of conduct. An ability to deal with the public in difficult situations is essential. You must be self-motivated with the capacity to work alone or as part of a team. You should have checkable references & a full, clean driving licence. You must be flexible in your working hours, to cover early morning, evenings & weekends.
