LIBERAL ARTS

The Liberal Arts Associate Degree requirements originate primarily within the liberal arts disciplines. They are intended to provide students with fundamental intellectual skills and knowledge of cultural and social areas, the sciences, and the arts.

This associate degree at MUNE is intended to lead to a four-year degree and is designed to help students think critically and be creative in acquiring knowledge, insights, skills and vision in order to lead a fulfilling and productive life. Students must have completed 61 credits and earn an overall 2.0 GPA to meet graduation requirements. To transfer to a four-year program at Mercyhurst University requires the completion of 24 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or the completion of the associate degree. However, acceptance into the program of concentration depends upon the student meeting the requirements of that department on the Erie Campus.
