LFO Directed by: Antonio Tubien Run Time: 94 minutes Cast: Patrik Karlson, Izabella Jo Tschig, Per Lofberg, Ahnna Rasch

Synopsis: Robert lives a solitary and lonely life. His sneering wife and disdainful son drive him into his own head and the secure comforts of his basement lair where he pursues his private experiments with audio frequencies. It’s all harmless curiosity until one day he has an unexpected success, stumbling across a frequency that appears to open the human mind wide to hypnotic suggestions. Play the sound, say what you want, and watch it happen. And what Robert wants is to be friends - and perhaps more - with his new neighbours. PINGPONGFILM PRESENTS

Now in his twenties, Tim is released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents’ deaths were caused by a malevolent supernatural force unleashed through the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror in their childhood home. Determined to prove Tim’s innocence, Kaylie tracks down the mirror, only to learn similar deaths have befallen previous owners over the past century. With the mysterious entity back in their hands, the siblings soon find their hold on reality shattered by terrifying hallucinations and realize, too late, that their nightmare is beginning again…

Queen of Blood Directed by: Chris Alexander Run Time: 82 minutes Cast: Nivek Ogre, Shauna Henry, Carrie Gemmell, David Goodfellow Screening Time: Friday, April 4 at 9:35 pm

Synopsis: A thematic and stylistic follow-up to Chris Alexander’s first film, the award-winning experimental psychodrama Blood for Irina, Queen of Blood sees vampire Irina reborn as a “vampiric” plague, a force of nature whose destiny is to lay waste to a fever dream vision of the Wild West. Drawing her victims to her like insects to bright lights, Irina drains their blood through her fingertips while setting her sights on a pregnant widow, a woman who might hold the key to Irina’s fate. Nivek Ogre stars as a mad preacher, dangerously obsessed with Irina whom he sees as an act of God. An epic, psychological, surrealist opera with touches of science fiction.
