It’s Old but New MECC will offer a new course beginning Fall 2011, for personal growth or it can serve as an elective for some curriculums. Religion 200, Survey of the Old Testament, covers the historical, social, and religious development of the people of Israel as recorded in the Old Testament, moving from creation through the exodus, the settlement in the Promised Land and the age of the prophets. The course also considers other types of literature contained in the Old Testament. Classes will meet from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Welding – fit your schedule Welding classes for Summer and Fall Semesters 2011 will include stick, mig, tig, pipe welding and pipe fitting. Upgrade skills classes for experienced welders will be available. Morning and night classes are available to meet nearly any schedule. The MECC Welding program is an American Welding Society Testing / Training Center and Educational Institution member. During renovations on the campus, the Welding program will be located in Big Stone Gap National Guard Armory building. Space is limited and filling fast. Online licensure renewal for wastewater operators MECC now offers online licensure renewal for wastewater operators to meet new State requirements for licensure renewal. The classes are called ENV 195: Topics in Wastewater Treatment Renewal I (for classes VI-IV) and ENV 295: Topics in Wastewater Treatment Renewal II (for classes III-I).
