Marcelino tiene once años y está decidido a saber la verdad acerca de su apatía por el fútbol, deporte que su madre trata de enchufarle a toda costa. Pero para esto primero tiene que conocer a su padre cara a cara, y no a través de la misma fotografía que su madre le enseña casi diariamente. Según ella, su padre fue un reconocido director técnico mexicano, cosa que él duda. Así que junto a su amigo Sergio comienzan una búsqueda hacia su verdadera identidad. Marcelino is 11 years old and determined to find out the truth about his lack of interest in football, a sport his mother tries to involve him in at all costs. But first he has to meet his father face to face, and not through the same photograph his mother shows him almost every day. According to her, his father was a renowned Mexican coach, but Marcelino doesn’t believe her. Together with his friend Sergio, they begin the search for his true identity.
José Ramón Chávez Delgado
Nació en San Luis Potosí, México, en 1980. Estudió Dirección en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). Participó en diversos proyectos cinematográficos dentro y fuera del CCC y profesionalmente se desempeña como director y asistente de dirección. He was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, in 1980. He studied Filmmaking at the Film Training Centre and has participated in several film projects inside and outside the Centre. He works both as director and as assistant director.

Un hombre ya demasiado viejo atraviesa el desierto mexicano con un bastón y cuatro cajas de madera cargadas en su espalda, una arriba de la otra. En el preciso momento en que la cámara deja ver que las cajas son en realidad jaulas, el viejo avista una tormenta de arena al frente. La tormenta pasa y el viejo sigue su camino, sin notar que ha perdido una jaula. Para cuando la recupere, no sólo se dará cuenta de que ha desperdiciado mucho tiempo de viaje, sino que además habrá dejado en libertad a la extraña criatura en cautiverio. A very old man walks across the Mexican desert with a walking stick and four wooden boxes on his back, piled one over the other. Just when the camera shows that the boxes are actually cages, the old man sights a sandstorm right ahead. The storm passes and the old man continues along his way, without noticing that he has lost a cage. By the time he recovers it, not only will he realize that he has lost a lot of time, but also that the strange creature in captivity now runs free.

Juan José Medina
Nació en Guadalajara, México, en 1974. Es egresado de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Guadalajara y de la Escuela de Medios Audiovisuales de la misma Universidad. Codirigió del cortometraje El octavo día, la creación (2000), que consiguió diversos reconocimientos en festivales dentro y fuera del país. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1974 and studied at the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Guadalajara and at the School of Audiovisual Media, also at this University. He co-directed the short film El octavo día de la creación (2000), which won several awards at film festivals around the world.
