University of Mobile Men’s Basketball UMobile Coaches Shaddrick Jenkins Shaddrick Jenkins has served four seasons as the assistant coach for the University of Mobile basketball team after five years in the same capacity at Coffeyville Community College and a successful playing career in the collegiate ranks. In his five years at Coffeyville under Jay Herkelman, Jenkins helped coach the team to four NJCAA national tournament appearances. In 2007, the squad earned a trip to the Final Four and finished ranked 3rd in the nation. Prior to his coaching career, Jenkins played two years each for Coffeyville (95-97) and the University of South Florida (97-99). He earned Freshman of the Year honors at Coffeyville and averaged 19.5 points per game in his second season. In his first season at Conference USA member South Florida, Jenkins led the team in practically every major category but scoring, while ranking among the conference leaders in steals. Jenkins earned a bachelor of science in social science while in school and played professional basketball for 1 season in Mexico, before coaching.
Willie Burns Jr. Willie Burns Jr. begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Rams. He brings with him more than 22 years of teaching and coaching experience after serving as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Rain, Blount, Vigor, Citronelle and Williamson. Burns led Blount to five 5A Area Championships and Vigor to a 6A Area Championship in 2006. He was named Mobile Press-Register and Mobile Optimist Club Coach of the Year in 1994 and 2009. Burns graduated from Stillman College with a degree in physical education and resides in Mobile with his wife, Chelice, and their three children and two grandchildren: Thaddeus, Chelsea, Montraze, Vera and Landen.

Rene Antee begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Rams after a brilliant playing career at Mobile. Antee played for the Rams from 199700 and was named NAIA AllAmerican in 1999 and 2000. He was named All-Conference each year and named GCAC Freshman of the Year in 1997. After graduating from Mobile, Antee continued his playing career overseas, playing for Horsens IC (DEN) of Basketligaen 2006-07. He averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 15 games. He is second all-time in scoring and assists at Mobile with 2,040 points and 579 career assists.
