Enters fall camp as the starting right guard … has dropped over 20 pounds since last year … his Samoan heritage impacted the Demons last season after he performed a traditional haka dance during a preseason talent show … the team loved it, and decided to do a haka dance before stretching in the pre-game routine about an hour before kickoff … the haka is a traditional dance in the South Pacific and is mostly known from the Maori people of New Zealand, whose rugby team has used a haka dance in its pregame routine. 2011 Season: Started the last two games, received an 85 percent grade on the season with 13 knockdowns on 248 snaps played… opened the season with 45 snaps and 4 knockdowns for a 78 percent grade… season-high seven knockdowns against SMU with an 80 percent grade and 51 snaps… 80 percent grade and 22 snaps at Nicholls… played in 60 snaps at Sam Houston for a 72 percent and one knockdown… missed part of the season due to injuries.
