President’s Message Dear Friend of Marian University, Thank you for your continued support of Marian University! I think you will find the mission inspired stories within the pages of this edition of the Marian Magazine compelling, and evidence of our commitment to offer excellence in education. My own story is that I am inspired by the Gospel to serve. Having served and retired as President and CEO of Agnesian HealthCare in Fond du Lac — another institution sponsored by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes — it has been easy for me to adopt as my own the Mission and Core Values of Marian and to embrace this ministry of education. In the coming year, I will focus on a few vital areas as directed by the Board of Trustees. Working collaboratively with the staff and faculty, we will work to move forward in the following areas: student experience, strategic plan implementation, paying careful attention to our finances, preparation for our accreditation reaffirmation visit in 2015–16 and building relationships across the university community. The Trustees will also be engaged in a national search for the new president of Marian University through a process which will include broad participation of the university constituencies.
