The project aims to create a green connection troughout the landscape and a social public space in connection with the green path of the surrounding area. The green area makes people socially firendly and allows nature to flow inside the city. In this way people would combine the park life with a sustainable education. The building is developed along two main directions. One connects the sea side and the Vastra Strandgatan, the other one he Umeo Arena and the Opera House. The project aims to transform 4ha of the old industrial area of Hjorthagen in a new residential district. Important goals that have been analised are the social interaction and housing habits, low construction costs, respect for natural resources, spacial organization and connections, mantaining a high density (economical politic of the stockholms kommun). Many tourists can't find in a city like Rome an accomodation with a low price in an international, contemporary and dynamic context. The Italian law is requires a minimum dimension for each room of 8/14 sqm so that's impossible to get lower the prices. Free-Style finds a solution at this problem through a new concept. The strenghts of the project are an attractive and modern design, new tecnologies and space flexibility. It consists in the combination of two semptransparent panels that are anchored to each other through a hook that slides on the other panel. It contains a folding desk and night table that are attached to the L-panels.
