Projektas prasidėjo menininkams susitikus ir atradus bendrus kūrybos taškus vienas kito darbuose. Savo naujausiuose darbuose Silja Puranen gvildena fizinio keistumo, kitokumo temą cirko ir išsigimėlių šou kontekste. Neramios sielos nepatenkina visuomenės „normalumo“ lūkesčių, kaip besistengtų, jie visuomeniškai nepriimtini. Projektas atskleidžia Siljos darbų atmosferą, jame apsigyvena jos darbų personažai, Anne-Linn Akselsen – pasiūlo fizinę kalbą šiai temai atskleisti. Konceptuali ašis – medžiagos lankstymas, kūno kaip lengvai lankstomos medžiagos panaudojimas, tokiu būdu atskleidžiama galios ir nuolankumo tema. Šokyje lankstant vienas kitą, šokėjai atsiduria tai galingųjų, tai nuolankiųjų vaidmenyse. Šiuos du pasaulius sujungia dramaturgas Adrian Minkowicz išausdamas bendrą choreografijos ir vaizdų medžiagą. Naujos istorijos gimsta tarp skirtingų medijų: tiesioginio vizualikos poveikio, neatidėliojimų judesio sprendimų ir asociatyvinės žodžio galios.
The projects starting point lies in the meeting between the artists, taking common points of reference in each other’s work. In her recent works Silja Puranen is dealing with freaks in the contexts of circus imagery and freak show. Restless souls who do not fulfil the expectations of conventionality and fail in their attempts to pursue general acceptance. Using the particular atmosphere and some of the characters of Silja Puranens` work, Anne-Linn Akselsen proposes a physical language, the baroque idea of folding, using the surface of the body as a fabric that can be folded and unfolded endlessly. The dancers fold each other, alternately taking on roles of power or submission in their dancing with each other. Adrian Minkowicz links the works together, bringing them into one amalgamated expression weaving the images and choreography along. Together they are creating new stories in the interface between the different media, the directness of the visual, the presence of instant decision-making in movement and the associative power of the spoken word.
