A JAPANNED SIDE CABINET An unusual William IV japanned side cabinet decorated throughout with gilt and polychrome chinoiserie with mother-of-pearl insets, all achieved in fine detail. The top is bordered with a chinoiserie edge and is supported by rounded brackets at the corners. The sides and front are doors, which open to reveal further gilt chinoiserie on a black ground.
