Integriertes Bauen Integrated Architectural Design
Der Lehrstuhl für Integriertes Bauen beschäftigt sich in allen Planungsmaßstäben mit den Bedingungen zeitgenössischer Architektur. Die Integration und die Steuerbarkeit aller Parameter, die den architektonischen Entwurf beeinflussen ist zentrales Ziel in Forschung und Lehre. Die Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte liegen in der Entwicklung zukunftsfähiger Stadtkonzepte, hier insbesondere der Untersuchung nachhaltiger Verdichtungsstrategien und der Entwicklung zukunftsweisender Gebäudekonzepte. Mit dieser Verknüpfung kommen Werte wie Dichte, Absprachen zwischen Kollektiv und Individuum, Grenzen des Einzelnen, die aus der Frage nach der Überlebensfähigkeit des Ganzen hergeleitet werden, in die Diskussion. Aus einer umfassenden Leitbilddiskussion „Stadt, Architektur und Technik“ werden die Methoden und Instrumente für Lehre und Forschung im Bereich des Integrierten Bauens entwickelt. The Chair of Integrated Architectural Design deals with the various conditions of contemporary architecture at all scales. The integration and the precise assessment of all parameters that influence architectural design is central to our research and teaching. In this sense the overarching theme is the design of buildings, building clusters and urban structures as a contribution to creating a high-quality living environment for our society. In the context of the (European) city we focus on a broad range of options, such as the development of successful town planning concepts, the investigation of intelligent densification strategies and the design of robust buildings as important and also beautiful parts of the city. This raises questions and discussion on significant values such as density, the balance between the collective and the individual, modest usage of resources and the quality of our built environment. Building on this discourse on the city, architecture and technology, the Chair dynamically develops the required methods and tools in research and teaching practice – namely an integrated approach to architectural design.
