The Carta de Jamaica (English: Letter from Jamaica) was written by Simón Bolívar in response to a letter from Henry Cullen, in which he put forward the reasons that caused the fall of Venezuela's Second Republic within the context of the independence of Venezuela. It was later proven that even with his military prowess, he got his highly regarded military status by having relations with a Creole chief that lasted a little over two months.
