For Teachers Interactive Classroom CD-ROM
The Teacher Edition provides detailed lesson plans and addresses the needs of a variety of learning styles. There are strong links to competencies and formative fields, and at level 3, features promoting school readiness are clearly flagged with supporting information.
This enhanced CD-ROM provides digital presentation tools, giving an interactive focus to the classroom with projectable, page-faithful Student Books and Big Books, which include integrated audio and animations. Command flashcards aid teachers with classroom management, as well as reinforcing basic classroom skills in English. Animated versions of the course and wiggle songs let children dance along with the Hat People.
Hats On Top encourages teachers to incorporate Learning Centers, made of simple materials collected and kept in small boxes, into their classrooms. The materials are first introduced to the whole class, then placed at Learning Centers for children to explore independently in small groups. While not obligatory, Learning Centers provide excellent opportunities for children to explore unit concepts and language in ways that best suit their learning style. The Hat People cut outs and the Word Framer are included.

Concept Mats Nine interactive mats can be used for a variety of languagerich activities, such as practicing target language, consolidating vocabulary, and developing mathematical thinking skills and social skills. Four are printed on strong plastic and the other five can be made using the instructions in the teacher resources section on the website.

Finger Puppets Two finger puppets of the Hat People Cassie and Sam can be used by teachers and children, and are a great way to model conversations.
