The Beetle-barge synthezises the relationship between the former canals and rivers and the current streets of the city. It is also a tribute to the presence of Germany in Mexico, where for decades the VW-Beetle was the most popular car. El vocho-trajinera sintetiza la relación entre los antiguos canales y ríos y las actuales calles de la ciudad. También es un homenaje a la presencia de Alemania en México, donde el vocho fue durante décadas el auto más popular. Der Käfer-Kahn stellt die Synthese aus historischen Wasserwegen und den heutigen Straßen da. Er ist darüber hinaus eine Ehrung der deutschen Präsenz in Mexiko, wo der VW-Käfer jahrzehntelang das populärste Auto war.
