A
ntica residenza di Leopoldo II° Granduca di Toscana, sorge tra due importanti città come Lucca e Siena, in un triangolo di produzione vinicola d’eccellenza quali Sassicaia e Ornellaia. Attualmente è una magnifica dimora storica, con 10 camere in grado di accogliere fino a 20 persone. Il Castello è aperto nel periodo estivo, affittato settimanalmente come villa esclusiva. La struttura, costruita nei primi decenni del XVI secolo, divenne la residenza proprio di Leopoldo II° Granduca di Toscana, durante le opere di bonifica della Maremma. Le varie ristrutturazioni cominciate nei primi del 900 sono state supervisionate dall’Istituto delle Belle Arti. Il Castello rappresenta oggi uno dei più importanti monumenti della Maremma Toscana. Accessibile da un viale alberato di cipressi e pini al termine del quale l’imponente cancello si apre sul giardino di ingresso che costituisce il parcheggio privato degli ospiti. Attraversando il salone, si accede al giardino delle rose, luogo ideale per colazioni, pranzo e cena nei mesi estivi. In fondo al giardino la piscina, agibile da metà maggio a fine settembre. Sul bordo della piscina c’è una jacuzzi ed angolo con attrezzi palestra. La piscina, è dotata di un locale spogliatoio e toilette. Le camere, tutte con bagno en-suite, sono disposte su vari livelli individualmente decorate, attrezzate con aria condizionata, minibar, TV satellite, telefono e cassette di sicurezza.

Today is a magnificent historic mansion with 10 rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people. The Castle is open during the summer time, and is rented on a weekly, as exclusive villa. The structure, built in the early decades of the sixteenth century, it became the residence of its Grand Duke of Tuscany Leopold II, during the reclamation works of the Maremma. The various restructuring began in the early 900 were supervised by the Institute of Fine Arts. The Palace is now one of the most important monuments of Tuscany. Accessible by an avenue of cypresses and pines at the end of which the impressive gate opens onto the garden entrance is private parking for guests. Across the hall, you enter the rose garden, an ideal place for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the summer months. At the bottom of the garden there is a pool, accessible from mid-May to late September. At one edge of the pool there is a jacuzzi and gym gear corner. The pool is equipped with a changing room and toilet. The rooms, all with en-suite, are arranged on different levels, individually decorated, equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, telephone and safety deposit boxes.
