In 2010, a new service was added, the 4-D planning software for respiratory motion management. It has the ability to track cancerous targets that move due to breathing (such as those in the lung or abdomen) in real time. Cardiac Care at Longmont United Hospital begins with a wide range of tools to answer questions about the heart. A full range of non-invasive technologies including Cardiac CAT Scan, Cardiac MRI, Nuclear Imaging, Carotid scans, and the very latest 3D Cardiac Echo technology are offered. If additional testing is needed, two Cardiac Catheterization Labs are available, and for a blocked artery, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Balloons and Stents).
